The 2025 Triple Crown NIT is set for President's Day Weekend (February 14-17, 2025), bringing together over 670 teams, 7,000 athletes, and 800 college coaches for a high-stakes weekend of elite competition. In my opinion, this is the most important recruiting event of the year, where the best of the best go head-to-head to prove themselves on the biggest stage. And you better believe my scouting notes are ready for action.

During events like these, my running list is always on fire—packed with jersey numbers, teams, court assignments, and everything I observe throughout the day. But how do teams and players end up in my notes?

It starts with players tagging their court assignments to @PrepDigCA, which gives me a starting point. But once I'm in the gym, it's anyone's game. You might land in my notes for a jaw-dropping play, or maybe for what you're doing when you don't have the ball. If you're not in the starting lineup, hitting lines might be your only chance to catch my attention. And I'm always watching for the little things—how you ref, how you interact with teammates, and how your character shows up beyond the court.

The 14U division is where future stars start making a name for themselves on the national stage. Some of these players may not yet be on college radars, but their performances at Triple Crown can set the foundation for future recruitment. The competition is fierce, and with every match, players have the opportunity to stand out and elevate their game.

Now, let's take a look at some of the 14U teams I'm already tracking as we head into Day 1 of Triple Crown NIT. I can't wait to see what players make the list after the first day of competition!

The Triple Crown NIT experience is unmatched, and with so much talent on display, my notes are sure to fill up fast. By the end of Day 1, I'll have a list of players who caught my attention—whether it was a game-changing play, standout consistency, or the intangibles that make a great teammate.
