The 2025 Triple Crown NIT is set for President's Day Weekend (February 14-17, 2025), bringing together over 670 teams, 7,000 athletes, and 800 college coaches for one of the most high-stakes volleyball events of the year. When it comes to recruiting, this is the must-see tournament—where top talent from across the country battles on the biggest stage. My scouting notes are ready, and you better believe I'll be watching.

At events like these, my notebook fills up fast—packed with jersey numbers, team names, court assignments, and standout performances. But how do teams and players make their way into my notes?

It starts with players tagging their court assignments to @PrepDigCA, giving me a starting point. But once the games begin, anything can happen. Maybe it's a jaw-dropping play, or maybe it's something small but impactful—a smart decision, relentless energy, or the way you carry yourself on and off the court. If you're not in the starting lineup, warmups and hitting lines might be your best shot to get noticed. And trust me, I'm always watching the little details—how you ref, interact with teammates, and showcase your character beyond the game itself.

The 16U division is the most important division in the gym, as these athletes are in their prime showcase window leading up to June 15, when college coaches can initiate direct contact. Players at this level are working hard to position themselves as top prospects, knowing that colleges are evaluating their performance, presence, and potential to determine if they could be a good fit for their programs. Triple Crown NIT is a major opportunity to make a statement—whether it's solidifying interest from top programs or getting on the radar for future recruiting conversations. The competition is fierce, and every set is an opportunity to stand out, prove yourself, and turn heads.

Now, let's take a look at some of the 16U teams I'm tracking heading into Day 1 of Triple Crown NIT. Who's going to step up and make a name for themselves? I can't wait to find out.
