–

We are in full swing of the 2025 club season! This weekend marks just about the half way point of the season and it comes to a head with one of the biggest tournaments in the country. The Mideast Qualifiers in Indianapolis.

The Mideast Qualifier is one split into three separate weekends. The 12s-15s have taken to the courts over the last two weekends and this weekend is all for the 16s-18s. This is the place to be for some of the top talent in the country and for the biggest of programs to do their prime recruiting.

While the talent across the board at the 17s and 18s level is pretty well positioned for the college scene, there are still loads of talent left on the table waiting to make their call. There are tons of potential out of the Mitten state that will be on display this weekend in Indianapolis that you have to see.

Here's a look at 11 uncommitted prospects that warrant major attention at MEQ Weekend 3.

Sarai Villegas Rosa & [player_tooltip player_id='490335' first='Makayla' last='Bruman'] (2026)- Michigan Elite

There are not very many Michigan teams out in the 18s field at MEQ. Positioned just after a huge weekend of qualifiers spanning from the NEQ to Red Rock, many of the Michigan teams took center stage. However, there is a talented team out of Michigan Elite that begs for some attention.

Leading the way for this team is a mighty south paw on the right side with Sarai Villegas Rosa. A new addition to the squad this year, Villegas Rosa has proven to be a game changer with her elite level ball control as well as nifty scoring abilities. While she stands at around 5'9-5'10 range, her vertical and vision for the court offers up a lot more than what meets the eye.

Speaking of newbies to this team, the quarterback of the offense, [player_tooltip player_id='490335' first='Makayla' last='Bruman'] is fitting in quite nicely with the Michigan Elite squad. Bruman has quickly become one of the top setters in her class in the high school scene and has wasted no time finding her rhythm at the highest of levels in the club circuit. Bruman runs a really effective offense and can become quite terminal as an attacker on two herself.

You can catch Sarai and Makayla in the 18 USA Division this weekend.

Annelise de Jong - Dead Frog

This Dead Frog team is one of the strongest to have come through this club in years. A big reason of that is the play of Annelise de Jong. Yet, it is still shocking to me to see de Jong uncommitted. This player has quickly grown leaps and bounds in her game over the last two years, becoming quite versed in both pins. Primarily to be seen on the right side, Annelise can also be one heckuva scorer on the left as well. Her and the Frogs will be on full display, looking to secure their second bid to nationals in as many years in 18 USA.

[player_tooltip player_id='226889' first='Madeline' last='Dettling']

[player_tooltip player_id='226889' first='Madeline' last='Dettling'] & [player_tooltip player_id='569764' first='Amani' last='Agoot'] - Michigan Elite

Michigan Elite 17 Mizuno is coming into MEQ red hot! Two of the biggest reasons that this team has found themselves emerging into the gold brackets of their last few tournaments has to be the play of both [player_tooltip player_id='226889' first='Madeline' last='Dettling'] and [player_tooltip player_id='569764' first='Amani' last='Agoot'].

[player_tooltip player_id='226889' first='Madeline' last='Dettling'] has been a long time face for this team. At 6'1, Dettling continues to grow and continues to impress. With a quieter demeanor, Dettling can surprise a lot of opponents with how explosive she can be at the net. She is finding an extra inch or two in her vertical every time she steps onto the court and she's packing quite the punch with every swing.

For Agoot, this is a brand new addition to Michigan Elite but also to the Open level. It goes without saying, but Agoot has definitely find her footing quick. Still so raw, with a lot of potential left to find, Agoot is finding ways to score and becoming quite the elite blocker. Her play in the middle is a huge reason Elite's outsides have been able to flourish. There is a threat in every position ready to strike.

Dettling and Agoot are two of many other power players with 17 Mizuno that deserve some attention. So, don't miss out on these players in the 17 Open this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='537079' first='Kaylyn' last='Tuck'] & [player_tooltip player_id='489939' first='Vivian' last='Jones'] - L2

After seeing this player have such an incredible fall season with Northville, I am super excited to see her in the club scene. And so should you. [player_tooltip player_id='537079' first='Kaylyn' last='Tuck'] is coming off of a historic fall with her high school team, helping the Mustangs secure their first ever state title in D1 Volleyball. Tuck acted as the ultimate utility player and became a middle for the sake of this team and turned out to be a game changer.

This is a player that can elevate well above the net and has whip of an arm to down the ball. Tuck looks to be back playing her primary position on the left pin. And it looks like her experience in the middle has really pushed her game up an extra notch or two.

This is quite the interesting story. [player_tooltip player_id='489939' first='Vivian' last='Jones'] saw herself sidelined through the entirety of the club season last year due to a broken foot. After a slow fall, allowing Jones to recover, Jones was a star feature on L2's 172s. For one reason or another, Jones has received the call up to compete with the 171s alongside Tuck and Co. to great results.

Jones is looking to be at peak health and is utilizing more of her 6'2 wingspan to her advantage, a sign of big things ahead.

Don't miss out on Tuck, Jones and the rest L2 171 in 17 USA.

[player_tooltip player_id='226899' first='Cree' last='Hollier'] & [player_tooltip player_id='226913' first='Abbigayl' last='Sells'] - Legacy

If you've never been able to watch [player_tooltip player_id='226899' first='Cree' last='Hollier'] in person, you're truly missing out on a lot of fun. Standing tall at the 5'9-5'10 range, Hollier's game screams more prevalent to that of 6'2-6'3. This is one of the most explosive jumpers you will find in any gym. This girl can get up and put down at an electric speed!

For Mercy in the fall, Hollier was one of the most dynamic middles in the state of Michigan. Upon joining Legacy's 17-2s team this winter, Hollier has elevated this team's game big time.

Where Hollier ignites the heat, [player_tooltip player_id='226913' first='Abbigayl' last='Sells'] suffocates. Sells is the leader of the defense for Legacy's 17-2s squad and is a force to be reckoned with in left back. She's relentless, fast and ready to keep the ball alive at any means necessary. If you don't want Hollier to bomb away at your team, this is not the player you want to serve or hit at. You will be sorry.

You can catch Hollier, Sells and the 2s in 17 USA.

[player_tooltip player_id='555634' first='Kennedy' last='Hinkle'] - Michigan Elite

Another really strong prospect out of the MiElite cannon, [player_tooltip player_id='555634' first='Kennedy' last='Hinkle'] has become the anchor to the success of the club's 17 Elite team. A once middle, now turned outside, Hinkle has quickly come into her own in this new position. While her ball control and defense continues to grow, Hinkle's offense is at a full steam. She leads her team in scoring and can take over matches at any given moment.

You can catch Hinkle and a flurry of other uncommitted dandies from 17 Elite in 17 USA.

[player_tooltip player_id='631464' first='Mya' last='Eberlein'] - NIVA

[player_tooltip player_id='631464' first='Mya' last='Eberlein'] was a standout at last summer's Prep Dig Stock Up and has shown no signs of slowing down. Eberlein has joined forces with NIVA for this club season and has done some really exciting things thus far. Her 6'2 frame offers a lot of size at the net capable of shutting down the toughest of attackers. Her offense has come a long way and looks to be a continued sign of growth for this player.
