So, between watching matinee baseball and working on updating rankings on multiple Prep Network sites, I decided to see what volleyball film I could track down.

Here is a quick look at five Kansas prospects, including one who recently verbally committed to play for an in-state NAIA program.

[player_tooltip player_id='573204' first='Molly' last='Marteney'], 5'1”, DS/L, Augusta, '26 (McPherson)

Marteney took to social media to announce that she has verbally committed to McPherson College. She is currently ranked No. 180 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 and plays club ball with shockwave. Watching her film, I like the way she makes crisp, accurate passes. She is also not afraid to sacrifice her knees to make challenging digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='550428' first='Addison' last='King'], 5'6”, DS/L, De Soto, ‘26

De Soto's King is ranked No. 110 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She has several highlights on her HUDL account from her prep games. She collected 104 digs and 288 serve receptions as a junior. She does a great job of reading the opposition and anticipating where the attack is coming from. She also consistently finds her setter with quality passes.

[player_tooltip player_id='444610' first='Emmarie' last='Barger'], 5'9”, OH, Eisenhower, ‘27

Barger is a multi-sport talent that I did not get to see play volleyball or basketball last season. So naturally, I decided to check out her HUDL account to see what she has posted lately. Most of her footage is from her freshman season. So I still don't have a great feel for which sport she plans on trying to chase a college scholarship for. She hits the ball hard and has a consistent approach. She averaged seven points and 3.4 rebounds per game for the Tigers during her sophomore basketball season.

[player_tooltip player_id='724847' first='Elliot' last='Sokoloski'], 5'11”, OH/MH, Olathe East, ‘28

Sokoloski is currently an unranked prospect but is all set to join the rankings when they are updated next month. She finished with 117 kills as a freshman for Olathe East. I stumbled upon her HUDL account, and she has posted recent highlights from club action. She is playing with [program_tooltip program_id='428892' first='PVA' last=''] and is a long youngster. The more she plays and the more she works on her approach, the better she will get.

[player_tooltip player_id='747443' first='Ashley' last='Stilley'], 5'5”, DS/L, Blue Valley West, ‘29

The first rankings for the Kansas Class of 2029 will be released in May. I wanted to see which youngsters from this class already had game film on HUDL, and the first I came across was Stilley's. Most of her highlights are from the current club season. She has a hard jump serve that is difficult to receive. She is an accomplished libero. I would like to see her lower her platform a little. She tends to leak and get tall when coming up to play a ball. I love that she already has a boatload of highlights available. It shows she knows how to get an edge in getting noticed by scouts and college coaches.
