Game-Changing Setters & Playmakers at Red Rock Rave

The SCVA Red Rock Rave Weekend 2 officially kicked off, with top-tier talent from across the country converging in Las Vegas for a shot at earning a coveted bid to the USA Volleyball National Championships in Dallas, Texas.   In a tournament where precision and decision-making separate the good from the great, these athletes stood out as true floor generals. Each of them brought quick hands, smart decisions, and court vision well beyond their years, all key attributes for any college coach scouting their next setter or offensive catalyst. These six athletes not only ran the show they elevated their teammates in the process.    [player_tooltip player_id='765941' first='Sierra' last='Aswad'] has all the makings of a high-level setter, she's confident, creative, and deeply committed to keeping the offense in rhythm. Her hands are clean and consistent, delivering hittable balls to every zone with precision and touch. Whether it's a tempo set to the pin or threading one back to the middle, Sierra's decisions reflect a calm presence and a mature feel for the game.   She's not afraid to keep defenders honest either, mixing in a deceptive two-hand dump at just the right time, a move that catches even the most disciplined defenses off guard. What truly sets Sierra apart is her trust in her hitters. She feeds them with confidence, even off broken plays, and often turns tough passes into scoring opportunities. Her ability to adjust and accelerate the tempo to the middle off of imperfect contact is especially impressive and highlights her high-level processing speed.   A former middle herself, Sierra's transition to the setting position has been remarkable. Through focused private training and a relentless drive to grow, she's developed into a setter with a polished technical foundation and elevated court awareness.
