She's a well-rounded right-side hitter with leaping ability and power in the swing. Cobb has flown under the radar somewhat because she attends Ankeny High, one of the state's top programs. She should get more run in 2025 following graduation losses from the roster. Cobb is fundamentally sound in her setup before unleashing the lefty punch. She's steadily improved during that time and blossomed into a reliable contributor at her position. For the Rockets, she shares the spot, giving that squad consistently usable sets for a strong group of hitters. Her 956 assists for North Scott last season represented the 14th most in the state among all classes. Allen helped that program back to the state semifinals a year after it won a Class 4A title by adding 144 digs, 29.0 blocks and 47 kills. She recorded 171 kills (.232) and a team-best 79.0blocks. Sherman showed her agility and versatility in coming up with 73 digs in helping the Clippers back state tournament. Long arms, good timing and athleticism lead to Sherman's success. Her 273 kills (.208) ranked second on the team and her 252 digs were the fourth most. She added 22.0 blocks for good measure. I saw Schulte play at the state tournament and again in the Quad Cities Showdown this club campaign. That bodes well for her senior campaign, when she'll be looked at as one of the leaders on a team wanting to advance farther this coming prep year. Craig produced the third most kills (173) on the '24 squad. Her versatility was highlighted by her 79 digs and 20.0 blocks. Her intensity and focus stood out right away. She plays all out and can contribute through six rotations. Roozeboom led an Eagle outfit that reached a regional final with 211 kills.
