2027 Prospects Perform at Regionals!

These players from the class of 2027 are headed into the postseason and the fall high school season on a high note. With Regionals for ERVA, PSR, and CEVA in the rear view mirror, we look closer at several 2027 prospects who performed at a high level for their teams.    Worthen is playing with fire and confidence; she looks taller than 5'11" and plays big, patrolling the middle on defense for Dakine. Dakine 16 Surf has put together a terrific season, and Regionals was no different, with the team finishing undefeated. Worthen is running different attacks to keep defenses guessing, and she is excellent at closing the block along with her talented and athletic teammates in the front row. The 2027 prospect from Black Hills High School has worked hard on her defense in the back row when she is serving- she can set the second ball and has a hard-to-handle jump float.     Ravnsborg and her SIVBC 15 Lightning squad competed in the Emerald Division at PSR Regionals, finishing with a 2-3 record. Ravnsborg can score from either pin and has an accurate swing from the pipe. The Mount Si sophomore has a patient approach; she works slow to fast and can close quickly to get her feet to the ball when Sudden Impact runs a fast tempo attack. That speed and urgency help Ravnsborg score with hard swings down the line and off the block.     Donaldson will be a handful for MCC foes during the fall. The Kamiakin sophomore has a whippy, strong arm swing, and she gets off the floor quickly- she has been an aggressive, go-to attacker for Shockwave 16 during club season. Donaldson has strong hands and plays with passion as a blocker; she can turn the momentum of a set with a great down block.     Campbell is a lefty setter who works in a 5-1 for Kokua 16; the team finished 2-3 at ERVA 16 Regionals, and Campbell earned her hitters "one-ups" and stayed aggressive as an attacker when she was at the net. The Ridgeline 2027 prospect isn't afraid to set against the flow, and she has the length and body control to keep a tight pass out of the net and still find a hitter for a swing. The 2027 from Ridgefield High School plays a steady middle back, and works hard to keep the team in the flow with her passing in serve receive. The Spudders should be right back in the mix for a run at another state trophy this fall, and Burke should have a big junior year as a part of the squad.     Eshuis has been a force for Apex NW 17 Summit this club season; the team had an outstanding run at Regionals, finishing second to [program_tooltip program_id='747679' first='Emerald' last='Rain'] with a 5-1 overall record. A long 6'1" sophomore from Lynden Christian, Eshuis has added an effective slide to her offensive bag and has started to put fear into defenders, pounding down kills on quick sets with authority. She has the vision to drop in tips for kills and makes decisive block moves to get out to the pins and put up a wall.
