June 15th is right around the corner and you know what that means... A LOT of talk about those insane 2027 athletes. While this may be another wicked class for the Mitten state, I would propose to not solely shift your attention to those 27s quite yet. Man, there is still SO much talent left on the table from the 2026 class.

From long time standouts finding an extra pep in their step, to late bloomers bursting onto the scene like mad men. The 2026 group has so much yet to offer that you must look out for.

There is still so much talent left to offer, we're going to have to break this down in a couple different parts! In it's first offering, here's a look at FORTY (40!) uncommitted 2026 stars out of Michigan that you can't miss!

[player_tooltip player_id='226889' first='Madeline' last='Dettling'] - SMCC/Michigan Elite

This outside has long been amongst some of the best in her class from an early age. Surprisingly, still uncommitted, but this may be perfect for both [player_tooltip player_id='226889' first='Madeline' last='Dettling'] and for whoever picks her up. Dettling has seriously stepped things up within these last couple months. Dettling is a quiet, yet deadly attacker, but this club season has been showing her in a whole new element. She's attacking at a much higher percentage and sometimes unstoppable with her vastly developed range.

[player_tooltip player_id='226936' first='Lexie' last='Stotenbur'] - Forest Hills Northern/FaR Out

Another player where I find myself scratching my head, "how is she still on the market?" Much like Dettling though, [player_tooltip player_id='226936' first='Lexie' last='Stotenbur'] has had one heck of a junior year. Both in high school and in club, Stotenbur continues to elevate her game to new heights. She's quickly become one of my favorite setters in this class. She leads the court with a calming, yet, demanding presence. She doesn't need to rely on flashy plays or physicality to run an effective offense. On the high school front, she kept Forest Hills Northern consistently in the conversation for another title run.

[player_tooltip player_id='569764' first='Amani' last='Agoot'] - West Bloomfield/Michigan Elite

How this player seemingly fell under the radar of just about everyone in the Metro Detroit area is truly beyond me. [player_tooltip player_id='569764' first='Amani' last='Agoot'] has seemingly come out of nowhere this club season and has quickly taken off. For someone playing in their first serious club season and playing at an open level, this 6'0 middle blocker quite simply jumps out of the gym. She has a natural sense of the net and is a large reason for her swiftly found success. Agoot moves so well and so smooth. Her offensive game has grown big time over the course of the club season. Even when she isn't swinging through the ball, Agoot is an incredible scoring middle.

[player_tooltip player_id='537079' first='Kaylyn' last='Tuck'] - Northville/L2

If this junior year has taught us ANYTHING about [player_tooltip player_id='537079' first='Kaylyn' last='Tuck'], it is that she can simply do it all. In the high school season, due to the demand of what her team needed, Tuck gladly took on a new role in the middle. Traditionally, a strong left side attacker, Tuck made this transition to the middle look effortless. Then, at the very last minute, due to injury, Tuck was back on the pin. This time on the right side, and would be a key piece to Northville's historic State Title win.

Throughout the club season, Tuck has continued her versatile ways. Mostly seen flipping back and forth on the pins, rather then the middle, Tuck remains a critical cog in L2 171's success.

[player_tooltip player_id='490036' first='Emma' last='Rosenow'] - Romeo/Michigan Elite

Speaking of utility players, this is another player that you could easily weave in and out of multiple positions. [player_tooltip player_id='490036' first='Emma' last='Rosenow'] has had herself quite the junior year. Many would consider it a break out year. In the high school space, Rosenow was the leading scorer on the court for Romeo. As she led her team in kills, she was also one of the main points of reference in the first ball. Her first contact is so strong, she has found herself as a primary DS for the 17 Mizuno squad out of Michigan Elite. From time to time, Rosenow gets her time to attack in club and comes up clutch almost every time.

[player_tooltip player_id='537168' first='Gabriella' last='Ferrera'] - Woodhaven/Michigan Elite

I truly believe that we haven't seen the best of [player_tooltip player_id='537168' first='Gabriella' last='Ferrera'] yet. Coming off of a pretty standout high school season with Woodhaveb, Ferrera found herself sidelined at the end with a minor leg injury. This had her out for a bit of the early goings of the club season. However, since returning, you can see Ferrera's game grow increasingly better. She's traditionally a very strong blocker and has seemingly improved upon this.

[player_tooltip player_id='220968' first='Quinn' last='Yenshaw'] - Traverse City St. Francis/FaR Out

[player_tooltip player_id='220968' first='Quinn' last='Yenshaw'] is another one of those players that I kind of scratch my head at. She has had quite the strong prep career thus far, you would think somebody would have snagged her up by now. Nonetheless,, much like Dettling, I think Yenshaw hasn't played her best ball until recently. She was the epicenter of success for Traverse City St. Francis this fall and led them to a State Title game in Division 3. This, she was named to the All-Tournament team. From there, she has continued to elevate her game in the club scene with FaR Out as one of their top attackers.

[player_tooltip player_id='454063' first='Miley' last='Southland'] - Three Rivers/FaR Out

[player_tooltip player_id='454063' first='Miley' last='Southland'] is yet another strong FaR Out product. Again, another strong setter. In the high school scene, Southland is already heavily decorated. This fall, she surpassed the 3,000 assist milestone and is on track to be Three Rivers' assists leader. On the club circuit, she has found herself playing up a level with 18 Gold. Here, she is running the court all on her own and has found a huge chunk of success.

[player_tooltip player_id='726472' first='Emma' last='Eldred'] - Tecumseh/High Intensity

Talk about a player with an amazing breakout junior year. For the longest time, the Jackson area has been a quiet zone when it comes to volleyball. This year, [player_tooltip player_id='726472' first='Emma' last='Eldred'] and Tecumseh turned that onto its head. Eldred, specifically, was the leading cause. This last fall, Eldred found herself as one of the top players in Division II volleyball. She was so good on all fronts, attacking, serving and defense, she led Tecumseh to its second ever State Title match. While the Indians would come up short, Eldred was awarded All-Tournament team and 1st team All-State honors.
