Court Commanders Who Ran the Show in Reno

Thank you to our subscribers who made it possible for PrepDig to cover the 2025 No Dinx/NCVA Far Western National Qualifier Weekend 3, held April 25 to 27 at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center in Reno, Nevada. This final weekend brought out high-level competition in the 14s and 15s divisions across Open, USA, Liberty, American, and No Dinx categories. With bids on the line in the Open and USA divisions, athletes had a clear opportunity to make their mark in front of college coaches before heading to Dallas.   This article highlights the court commanders, setters and defensive specialists who showed poise under pressure, controlled the tempo, and made winning decisions that lifted their teams. She is vocal, fast to read the play, and intentional with every set she delivers. Diya rarely takes the easy option, she understands how to distribute the ball to challenge the block and keep defenses guessing. Her discipline in hitting target zones allows her attackers to swing with confidence. She excels at working with her middles and right side, consistently drawing the block to create space and optimal angles for her hitters. Defensively, Diya is aggressive and alert, making big plays at the net and in transition. Whether it's a tough dig or a ball heading off-court, if it's near her, she's getting it up. She plays with passion and gives everything she has to keep plays alive. She delivered one of the cleanest one-hand sets we saw all weekend, executing with smooth hands and composure under pressure. She's vocal, confident, and willing to take risks with her set choices, never settling for the easy play. Her hands are clean, her reads are sharp, and she's able to spread the offense by involving multiple attackers. Robin brings energy to her team and elevates everyone around her. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247   Kamille Young - MVVC G 14 Red Kamille is steady and dependable in the back row. Her reads are fast, and she tracks plays with intent, allowing her to stay one step ahead of the ball. Her passing platform is consistent, and she's effective in serve receive and out-of-system situations. Kamille keeps her composure and sets up her team for success with every touch. ~ Michelle Bamford @Coachable247   Maddy Brown - NorCal 14-1 Black Maddy is a libero with quickness and grit. She covers the court with speed and urgency, always ready to make the next play. Her awareness of ball movement and strong communication makes her a standout leader in the backcourt. She makes tough digs look simple, moving fluidly into position and staying low and balanced. Her positive energy radiates through her gameplay and keeps her team energized.
