At younger ages, block touches and cover balls can sometimes feel like secondary skills. At higher levels, they become essential.

That realization was one of the biggest takeaways from her time around college coaches.

What also stood out was how quickly athletes from different clubs learned to trust one another. Despite spending most of the season competing against each other, players found themselves working together within hours.

One memory captured that perfectly.

Robin delivered a set to an outside hitter she normally faces as an opponent. The hitter terminated the ball, and for perhaps the first time, Robin found herself cheering for someone she usually spends weekends trying to stop.

Moments like that are part of what makes showcase environments unique.

The volleyball matters, but so do the relationships, perspectives, and lessons athletes carry forward long after the event ends.
