Success in middle school is a good thing. However, it is a matter of continuing to improve throughout the rest of the middle school then into the high school careers.

Daniel is showing the desire to become a sound all-around player at the age of 13. Daniel may not put balls down on the first hit, but she adjusts on the next ball and has success hitting it to another part of the court. Daniel is developing good habits as a defensive specialist, hustling after balls even using her feet to keep plays alive. Daniels is very enthusiastic on the court. The 13 Blue team has gone 46-8 and won seven tournaments this club season.

Huffman (pictured) is doing a good job using her size to her advantage for 14 Black. Huffman takes quicks and deposits them to a number of places on the court. She has a nice arm swing and fluid motion to her swings. Huffman is also tough on slides. Huffman pounds down overpassed balls with authority. The 14 Black team won the 14 Premier Division in the Showdown in the Smokies.

Adams started every game at libero for the Cougars this past fall and had a nice season. Adams does a great job moving her feet and going hard after balls. Her enthusiasm on the court is contagious. Adams has the chance to be a phenomenal defensive specialist for the Cougars with improved ball control.

Troutman has the tools to become a sound setter throughout her career. Troutman puts balls high and wide allowing her hitters to pound balls around blocks and to the ground. Troutman forms a solid block and is also displaying nice control on her digs.

Frank is displaying some nice ball control skills on serve reception and digging. She only dives for balls when necessary trying to send them in between the imaginary lines in the front row for two to three-point passes. Then on offense, Frank takes sound swings from the outside landing big kills. Frank is one of many players that have contributed to the 46-8 record and seven tournament wins for 13 Blue.
