I will randomize and pick four numbers to spotlight those kids, then also randomize the over 100 Watch List kids and add for more to the article.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Let's see who has the lucky numbers for this month's edition:</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>1. [player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon'], OH/MB Stoney Creek/Legacy</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Sheldon has definitely shown she is among the top players in this class, not just in Michigan, but nationally as well. Sheldon has a tremendous feel for the game and makes picture-perfect attacks look rather routine. She's also a great force at the net with her blocking.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>13. [player_tooltip player_id='732306' first='Reese' last='Williams'], OH/MB Roscommon/Mid-Michigan Aces</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Williams has impressive hang time that combines with a technically sound swing, which leads to some devastating kills. Williams stays very alert and reacts quickly to what is happening on the floor, allowing her to be on top of her defensive game as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>4. [player_tooltip player_id='553151' first='Ashlyn' last='Pelon'], DS/L Marian/Legacy</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pelon has already gotten a lot of big-match experience at the high school level, playing among the best teams in D1 as a freshman libero. Pelon looked very mature and composed at the end of the season, and was coming through with difficult digs against potent hitters. That experience should pay off, allowing her to remain one of the best defenders in the class.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>9. [player_tooltip player_id='644173' first='Brooklyn' last='Beardsley'], MB Lake Fenton/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Beardsley is moving well in the middle, able to effectively play any shot you want to see from a prospect. She's got another gear to her swing, which leads to some emphatic kills, but Beardsley also does a nice job of staying composed and playing the best shot available.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>WL [player_tooltip player_id='726340' first='Stephanie' last='Lulaj'], OH/DS Notre Dame Prep/Unified</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Lulaj has been primarily in a defensive role this club season and you can see her decision-making improving with each week. She's able to adjust quickly to the ball and still get a clean pass to her setters. Working in the NDP program should definitely help expand her skillset, as its known for producing great liberos and defensive specialists.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>WL [player_tooltip player_id='765790' first='Piper' last='Ayotte'], S/OP Skyline/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ayotte has the ability to play multiple positions, but in either spot, she has shown a great defensive background to support her offensive play. Ayotte is working on improving her consistency and pacing as a setter, while also making improved reads on when to call her own number.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>WL [player_tooltip player_id='578487' first='Aubrielle' last='Shina'], MB Rochester/High Performance</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A 6'2” middle from Rochester, Shina has elite length at the net. She's able to dictate a lot of the opponent's play with her presence while developing her offensive ability. She's still feeling out her tempo and footwork, but as that picks up in the years ahead, Shina should become a prospect to keep an eye on.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>WL [player_tooltip player_id='644262' first='Amaya' last='Frias'], OH/DS Ionia/FaR Out</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Frias made a solid impact for Ionia's varsity team as a freshman and its leading to a great club season. She's putting the ball away from both pins with a smooth approach to the net. Frias has great lift off the floor and swings with purpose. She's also a talented defender that does a good job of anticipating the ball.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
