Our coverage of the new Nebraska 2026 rankings has mostly honed in on players who climbed the ladder among their peers. However, we also had room for athletes making their debut in the rankings after stellar showings on this year's club circuit. The search never stops.

This is no ordinary rankings debut. Vanek has exploded onto the scene after a series of exceptional performances for [program_tooltip program_id='428743' first='VCNebraska' last=''] 17 Blue. The Lincoln Southeast junior is a physical lefty with a knack for scoring at the opposite position. 17 Blue found ways to get Vanek involved during the Show Me Qualifier as the team stood on the cusp of a Gold bracket appearance. Vanek adds to a long list of Lincoln-area attackers finding their stride as experienced upperclassmen.

Nebraska Juniors has enjoyed a heap of positive results from its 17s teams, and players like Conkling are leading the way. The Osceola native had a stout junior campaign on the prep side last fall, but Conkling has seemingly found another level with Nebraska Juniors. She is an eager terminator on the right side and can take quality reps on the left if needed. Conkling is always keen on exploiting seams in the block and placing her shots just out of a defense's reach. Nebraska Juniors 17 Red bolstered the club's depth this season and has a lot to build upon for future seasons.

Club Legacy 17 Alpha enters the picture once again. We've hyped up this team's terrific play at the net, but we also have to credit the unsung heroes along the end line. Wilen masterfully patrols the middle-back zone and is a willing participant in the serve-receive pattern. Her accurate transition digs allow 17 Alpha to operate its vaunted offense and knock opposing teams off balance. The 2025 season has shone a spotlight on Club Legacy players across the age spectrum, and Wilen has seized the moment among the 17s.

Why not extend this conversation to Club Legacy 17 Bravo? Several more under-the-radar 2026s have emerged from this group, and Dondelinger stands out in the team's stacked backcourt. She had a productive junior season with Blair High School and has not slowed down against top-tier competition. 17 Bravo made early waves against regional competition with Dondelinger handling first contacts in any backcourt area. This battle-tested libero will look ahead to more postseason breakthroughs at AAU Nationals.

Don't forget about Nebraska Elite. We've been treated to some thrilling moments from Elite's 17s camp, including its 17 Blasters squad. Leischner has set the tone for this group and is tough to stop from the middle blocker spot. She gets off the floor quickly and has a large hitting window for her setters to target. This high-flying junior found her groove late in last fall's high school season with an emerging Omaha Westview program. Expect more of the same this fall.

Let's bring in another athlete from the Omaha Westview camp. Meysenburg is a multi-position force who can operate as a setter or a go-to hitter. She has been a steady leader since Westview's entrance into the high school scene, and that career arc is paying dividends with Nebraska Elite. We've seen year-round connections flourish on the Nebraska Elite 17 Blasters roster, and Meysenburg is at the center of it all.
