New Nebraska 2027 Rankings–Our Biggest Update Ever

The result is one of our most dramatic updates ever.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Before diving into the athlete analyses and player features, this introductory piece breaks down the numbers and trends from our latest update. We'll shed light on the magnitude of this refresh while looking ahead at what's next.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's quite a time for the site.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Triple Digits</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here's the biggest figure of all: we have <strong>100</strong> new names in our 2027 database.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hitting the century mark on our new additions is no small feat, but this club season has shown us a lot. We entered this year by acknowledging that we still had a lot to learn about the 2027s. This is one step toward painting a clearer picture.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of our next sections will further detail where these players are coming from. Many of these new additions make their debut on our watch list, while others have leaped directly into the ranked list. Keep shuffling the deck.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Expanding the Ranked List</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Before this update, we established a Top 85 in the Class of 2027. That volume has nearly doubled to over 150.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Much of this list is still very fluid with room for big gains over the next several months. We're splitting hairs between many of these athletes, and we can always expect players to develop and have breakout moments at any time. Our initial Top 25 release already feels like ages ago, but many of these elite players have remained true to form. It can be easy to miss those "overachievers" on the club scene, but we made good progress toward filling those gaps.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">Not Done Yet</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Even after such a monstrous update, we're already looking ahead to the next one.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>USAV Nationals is looming. We'll have the privilege of covering Nebraska's top talent on club volleyball's biggest stage. Meanwhile, we have to keep an eye on AAU Nationals and its vast collection of Great Plains competitors.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Then, it's showcase time. Just like this update, we're hoping to make our July 26 showcases the biggest ones we've had to date.
