Prep Dig continued its partnership with USA Volleyball at the West Coast National Qualifier Showcase, held at the Momentous Sports Center on April 1st. The event brought together athletes from across the region looking to compete in front of college coaches while being evaluated by Prep Dig scouts and court coaches. Showcases like this continue to provide a valuable platform for athletes to be seen, tested, and recognized for their individual performance and intangibles. Let's take a closer look at three players who earned Top Performer honors based on what they showed on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='955239' first='Logan' last='Guerra'], a Class of 2028 setter from Kāpālama High School and Hawaii Next Level Volleyball Club, brings a very vocal command to the position that is easy to appreciate from a coaching standpoint. She runs the offense with composure and an understanding of tempo that you don't typically see at this stage of development. Logan distributes the ball with intention, showing the ability to deliver perfectly placed sets to her hitters. Her footwork in transition is clean, and she gets to her spot quickly, which tells you the technical foundation has been put in work to build it right. Coming out of Hawaii's competitive ILH landscape, she has been tested against quality competition and it shows in how she handles pressure situations. There is also a court presence to her game, the kind of setter awareness that makes her hitters better and keeps her team organized. Logan is a prospect who is worth monitoring closely as the recruiting conversation for her class continues to develop. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.

[player_tooltip player_id='813087' first='Emersyn' last='Propp'], a Class of 2028 outside hitter and middle blocker from Cozad High School and WW Volleyball Academy, and currently ranked No. 67 in the Prep Dig Nebraska State Rankings, is the kind of player that commands your attention the moment she steps on the court. At the high school level she has already demonstrated the ability to put down 21 kills in a single match, and earned Omaha World-Herald All-State Honorable Mention recognition as a freshman, which is a clear signal that she is operating well ahead of her class. Standing at 6'2", her frame gives her an immediate presence at the net, but it is her ability to play multiple positions that separates her from other prospects in this cycle. She attacks with aggression and finishes through contact, and her blocking footwork shows the kind of lateral mobility you need to be effective in the middle at the next level. The fact that she can function as both a pin hitter and a middle option gives any college staff tremendous lineup flexibility. There is still a lot of room to grow into that frame and refine both roles, but the foundation is already impressive. Emersyn is one of the more versatile and physically gifted prospects in the 2028 class nationally, and programs should not sleep on her. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.

Amelia Litschke, a Class of 2029 libero from Sage Ridge High School and Northern Nevada Juniors Volleyball Club, has put together a great start to a young career that makes a coaching staff immediately start talking about her future. She had a fantastic freshman campaign at her high school and it has translated to the club season well also. What stands out on the court is not just the volume of her production but the quality of her reads as she anticipates hitter tendencies early and positions herself before the play develops, which allows her to control a high percentage of defensive contacts. Her platform is consistent under pressure, and she handles pace well without sacrificing accuracy in serve receive. Training within the Northern Nevada Juniors program, which has a strong track record of developing college-bound athletes, puts her in the right environment to keep building. She competes with the kind of intensity that translates at every level, and her back row instincts are already well beyond her class. Amelia is a legitimate prospect who has the tools and the track record to be a solid libero in her class as she continues to develop. Please help us congratulate her on earning Top Performer honors at this showcase event.
