Prep Dig Chi-Town Classic: New Names Jumping on Our Radar!

I love to see how much these athletes grow and develop their games from season to season and through each year. Below are some of the new players to jump on my radar and make it into my notebook of kids to follow. She is a true leader and takes command of the back court. She communicates well with her team so there is no miscommunication on serve receive and defense. Fuegner is solid in so many skills. I was most impressed however, with her serve receive. She did a great job passing off her midline and delivering balls to target so her team could stay in system and run a highly effective offense. She will track down just about everything in the court to keep the ball alive. She made some amazing saves on Sunday due to her speed and hustle. Leong also does a good job anticipating the ball and running through the short tips and dumps. It say it was impressive is an understatement. She was so dynamic that I had to stay and see what else she could do…and did she put on a show. Brown is a versatile attacker that reads the court well and basically knows how to score. Whether she is playing as a DS or sporting the libero jersey, this girl is going to give her all on the court. Defensively, I thought Imes did a great job of positioning herself to come up with some big digs. She also is quick footed, will track down everything and annything, and made some amazing saves. She also covers well and attackers should be relieved when she is on the court. She has a good vertical with an incredible reach and super fast arm swing. I watched her put down some amazing attacks out of the middle that I didn't think possible that she would even be able to get her hands on. But this quick footed middle proved me wrong and I had to give her Top Performer honors because of it. She has the height, speed, and reach that you need and want in your outside. She also has the vertical to compliment it. Spende was a force on the courts this past weekend. She went up and deliver some big attacks cross court and down the line that were simply impressive. She also reads well, moves efficiently laterally, and puts up a solid block. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
