Texas Outside Hitters to Follow at the Lone Star Regionals

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The George R Brown Convention Center, in Houston, will be rocking this weekend as it hosts the second week of one of the largest tournaments of the entire club volleyball season in Texas, the Lone Star Regionals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Over 650 teams will be competing this week in one of the 20 divisions of the event, which will have teams from the 11s to the 17s age groups getting on the court between Saturday and Sunday.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Prep Dig Texas will be on site, covering the tournament and looking for the next hidden gems in Texas. She's a very skilled outside hitter, whose game is strongly connected to her technical quality. Rowse has excellent ball control and is extremely reliable with her passing and when playing defense. A long and athletic pin hitter, she plays a major role in the team's offense, being responsible for a sizable share of their point-scoring efforts. Odums does a very good job of making contact with the ball at a high point, but she complements that with excellent vision, consistently finding ways to beat blockers and defenders with her swings. A reliable two-way player, she gives the team a lot of stability with her strong game on both sides of the ball. Lilly is very productive at the net both offensively and defensively as she gets off the floor very well, fully stretches her arm to make contact at the highest possible point, and is very accurate with her swings, while also offering a strong blocking presence by playing aggressively above the net. She's one of those players who make everyone around her better, not only because of how much she can contribute with her technical skills, but also because of how she carries herself on the court, setting the tone with her commitment and dedication to the team. Kropewnicki is a true all-around player, as she has very solid skills in basically every aspect of the game, being capable of leading their serve-receive efforts, having a major role on offense and also providing a strong blocking presence. An elite scorer, she's one of the top offensive players in Texas in her age group and has the potential to take over matches at the highest level. She can hit a few different sets at the pin and makes a good job of always making contact with the ball at a very high point and swinging with power and precision - her athletic skills also make of her a more productive player in out-of-system plays than the average outside hitter.
