USA Volleyball GJNC Preview – Teams to Watch Vol 3

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of the most difficult aspects of the club volleyball season is to earn the elusive bid to USA Volleyball's Girls Junior National Championship.&nbsp; This year, the prestigious event will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, Texas from June 25^th til July 3^rd.&nbsp; Prep Dig will be covering the event from start to finish.&nbsp; This article series will be highlighting those awesome squads who have earned their place for the chance to be crowned a national champion.&nbsp; Let's take a deep look at some of the individual stars for each of these teams.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Vision 15 Gold</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This squad won their National division bid by dominating at the Northern California Regional tourney.&nbsp; They have some big weapons all across their roster.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='515385' first='Regina' last='Stella Broshear'] is a load to handle as she drops the hammer with each swing.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='778969' first='Pearl' last='Chertok'] is another solid arm that scores numerous points in each match.&nbsp; Just when you think that is all of their big time attackers, along comes [player_tooltip player_id='532488' first='Leilah' last='Abrams'] to the party.&nbsp; This young lady is athletically gifted and can also throttle the ball from any location.&nbsp; All three of these young ladies just made our ranking due to their all around skill set.&nbsp; When you mix in the stellar back row play of [player_tooltip player_id='778973' first='Risa' last='Ono'], you have one solid team who can play with anyone.&nbsp; They will for sure do some damage and be a tough out for anyone they come across at nationals.&nbsp; Eleanor Gacira on the right side and [player_tooltip player_id='586923' first='Nandini' last='Mohan'] in the middle make a solid tandem to shut down opposing attackers.&nbsp; Setter Danielle Whitmill is as good as they come when moving the ball around to all of these amazing attackers.&nbsp; We think they have what it takes to potentially take home a medal this summer at GJNC.&nbsp; They will have a great shot with what we have seen from them so far and we will be in person to watch.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[program_tooltip program_id='484725' first='Peak' last='Volleyball Academy'] 15 Black</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Peak won their National division bid by mowing through the competition during the North Texas Regional tourney.&nbsp; We know [player_tooltip player_id='433631' first='Femke' last='Smits'] very well as she has attended quite a few of our showcases and she is one of the setters who helps to lead this offense.&nbsp; She is the type of player that every coach will love as she does everything it takes to win and puts forth 1000% effort every time.&nbsp; Her counterpart is setter Emma Munford in the 6-2 offense.&nbsp; There is not a ball that she cannot track down with ease due to her quick footwork.&nbsp; She also battles very well around the court for this squad.&nbsp; Their defense gets tons of help from their big right side Adelaide Hershman.&nbsp; She has the ability to be a shut down blocker when they need it due to her size and strong frame.&nbsp; They also run her out of the middle during serve receive and it has proven to be very effective.&nbsp; Middle Kennedy Christie also provides great size at the net on the defensive end.&nbsp; She can be a solid blocker against all locations along the net.&nbsp; [player_tooltip player_id='727283' first='Kendall' last='Keith'] is one of the big guns who can play all the way around if needed.&nbsp; Her power is definitely felt out of the middle when she connects on the ball.&nbsp; Super young libero [player_tooltip player_id='780177' first='Olivia' last='Ledoyen'] has also been beneficial to the success of this team this year.&nbsp; Although only a class of 2030, she is not afraid of the big time.&nbsp; We are going to enjoy watching this team put in some work in order to create some chaos at nationals.&nbsp; Look for some great things from them.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are very proud of their efforts and are so elated that they accomplished one huge goal of theirs to earn the elusive bid to USA Nationals.&nbsp;
