2028 Prospects Handling Business in the Postseason

The Postseason rolls on with teams from the Pacific Northwest playing in both Orlando at the AAU National Championships and Dallas, where the 2025 USAV Girls Junior National Championship is underway. The 14-17 year old age groups in Dallas won't finish until July 3rd, and the AAU ends on June 28th. The 2028 class in Washington is now in the spotlight as the season is wrapping up!    Walcott possesses the size and smooth athleticism that project nicely for a college-level pin hitter. At 6'1" with a good wingspan, she plays six rotations and has a whippy arm swing that will only get stronger with age and work in the weight room. Walcott can rise and hit over the block, or rip a hard angle to terminate a point- she already has a feel for how and where she can score.     Curtis is a new addition to the 2028 Watch List; the outside hitter from Connell High School in Eastern Washington had delivered kills from the pin and solid defense in the back row at Nationals. Her Shockwave 15 Dre team is competing in the Freedom Division in Dallas; Curtis has an accurate arm swing and showed her ability to adjust to score the ball in a match against Excel NW 15 LUX. Curtis can adapt to a challenging set and still put enough heat on her swing to put a ball down for a point.     Volkman has excellent lift and a strong frame; she is already a physical player, both as a blocker and attacker, from the pins or the middle. Her NPJ Seattle 15 National team is 5-0 in Orlando after two undefeated days in the 15 Elite Division. Volkman is delivering momentum-changing monster blocks and swings for kills that find the deep corners and the back line.     The 5'11" Gonzalez has excellent length, she blasts kills and has a stinging serve that keeps passers off-balance and teams out-of-system. The Camas 2028 looked powerful on the pin against Shockwave 15 Dre, and she put together a critical serving run to help put away the second set.     Ries is a 5'10" MB from Emerald Ridge High School. ERHS is stacking talent, and Ries will be another player to watch for the Jaguars. The 2028 prospect has good movement and footwork along the net. As the season has progressed, her speed and urgency in closing the block and moving in transition have shown a notable improvement. She is making an impact for PSVBA 15 Legacy at USAV Nationals, scoring when she has the opportunity and working hard to put pressure on hitters with a strong press.     Davis is playing with SIVBC 14 Hurricane in the American Division at USAV Nationals in Dallas. Davis is a tall setter, and she uses her length and soft hands to connect smoothly with her middles and push accurate sets to the pins. The Lake Washington 2028 prospect has solid footwork for a young, tall setter- she is one to keep an eye on as she continues to develop her floor game.
