Week 1 is in the books for the Claremore Summer League. Plenty of solid programs and players in the gym. Teams like Owasso, Sapulpa, Sand Springs, Claremore, Glenpool, Coweta and Edison are all in attendance. Let's take a look at some players who stood out and played well.

[player_tooltip player_id='874955' first='Abby' last='Admire']- Middle Blocker for Sapulpa. I have gotten to watch Abby the past couple seasons and she has continued to develop year after year. Despite not playing club this past season, she doesn't look like she has skipped a beat from the end of school season in October. She works hard in transition to be a viable option in the offense. Her ability to get up and swing at opposing setters really caused issues all morning long for teams. Look for her and [player_tooltip player_id='746423' first='Hayden' last='Humphrey'] to really lead the way in kills this season for Sapulpa.

[player_tooltip player_id='740699' first='Faith' last='Caffey']- Middle Blocker for Claremore. Faith is making an immediate impact since transferring to Claremore. Her size and power are intimidating when you are on the other side of the net. She got a hold of a few overpass balls and put them down with authority. She also timed up a few blocks perfectly, pressed over the net and ended the rally. Once she and her new setters find their connection, they could have a legit middle blocker duo.

Sienna Eggers- Middle Blocker for Sand Springs. Sienna is in the same boat as Abby. Did not play club ball but looks like she has been playing since October. A tall athletic presence in the middle will help balance the Sandite offense. They have multiple talented pin players, Sienna in the offense will help create better 1v1 scenarios. When she is able to get to the pin and close the block, she really helps put up a formidable block that can frustrate hitters.

Makenna Fisher- Defensive Specialist for Glenpool. I did not know Makenna till they began playing but her hustle and grit in the back row really shined when Glenpool was on the court. Solid back row play to compliment the Warrior offense will go a long way. She also had a solid serve that put opposing passers in chaos mode. I look forward to watching her growth over the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='749276' first='Addie' last='Ray']- Setter/Right Side Hitter for Sand Springs. [player_tooltip player_id='749276' first='Addie' last='Ray'] has been a staple at Sand Springs since she tried out her freshman year and this year will be no different. She is playing for one of the best 16s teams in the state and it really showed week 1 of summer league. She has also been athletic and strong but now her in game IQ has really begun to take off. She is making great decisions and delivering the ball to hitters in a very consistent manner. She also seems to have upped her control and placement while hitting. Look for her to be an All Conference player and a future All State selection.

[player_tooltip player_id='666302' first='Addison' last='Doyle']- Middle Blocker for Claremore. Addison is a part of the middle blocker duo with Faith. She may not have the height that Caffey does but she has plenty of athleticism to make up for it. She ran a multitude of different sets throughout the day. She is becoming a more consistent and dynamic middle within the Zebra offense. She is not someone you want to let have an open net.

Good luck to all the teams and players going into this upcoming school season. Its going to be another amazing season for Oklahoma.
