Use code “EllisDig2025” to get $10 off your registration.*</em></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the surrounding area of Ann Arbor, there's big names coming in the Class of 2027.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>This area has some of the top volleyball players in this class, and many will be making a big impact at the next level.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Here's part two of our two-part look at the standout 2027's in the Ann Arbor area.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='526729' first='Elizabeth' last='Nordstrom'], MB Salem/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Ann Arbor area isn't short on talented middles and Nordstrom is part of that mix. A 6-footer from Salem, Nordstrom is already making a solid impact, but still shows a high ceiling for what she can accomplish in the future. She plays with a nice mixture of power and finesse, using good court vision to decide when to pull out each feature.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442976' first='Cynthia' last='Ockerman'], MB Brighton/Legacy</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 6'3” Ockerman has established herself as one of the top middles in the class. She's displayed the ability to make all the shots you want out of an effective middle. Already with elite length, Ockerman moves really well and can wait on the ball to deliver a punishing attack. She's got a great last gear to her swing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='523832' first='Charley' last='Romeo'], RS Northville/L2</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Romeo has been a big force on the right side for L2 this club season. Her attacks continue to add more steam behind them, and she's doing a nice job of putting out-of-system balls in challenging places for opposing defenders. Romeo shots a lot of attention to detail in her play, but has loosened up as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442972' first='Brier' last='Skelton'], S Brighton/Michigan Elite</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Skelton can make some really difficult sets thanks to her good footwork and body control. She's able to adjust herself however she needs to while keeping her hands in good position to make a clean feed to the hitter. She's put in time to be less predictable and mix up the offensive options, which should continue to get better these next two years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='454362' first='Karlie' last='Smith'], S/DS Saline/L2</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Smith has put in a lot of work to be just as impactful as a defender as she can be as a setter. Her timing and decision-making has shown good strides this club season, and she quickly makes adjustments after making errors. As a setter, her accuracy is improving, and she's trying to challenge herself to add new facets to her game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='442968' first='Amelia' last='Vogelheim'], DS/L Brighton/L2</strong></h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Vogelheim is a player that shows a lot of composure and focus in the back row. She's able to direct traffic well, communicating effectively with her teammates. Her reaction time continues to get better, allowing her to make challenging digs look smooth, while maintaining a high level of accuracy.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
