Class of 2028: Players Ranked 4–10 You Need to Know

Following our spotlight on the top three rising stars, we're now diving into the athletes ranked #4 through #10—each one showcasing elite potential and impressive early accomplishments. From high-flying pins to versatile setters and game-changing middles, this group features players who are already making an impact at the varsity and high club levels. These seven athletes have the tools, drive, and upside to attract serious college attention in the years to come.    A physical, hard-hitting pin attacker with high upside, Benson is already playing up with Spiketown's 18-1s and competing on Crater's varsity squad as a freshman—testament to her advanced skillset and athleticism. She unloads on the ball with growing range and solid vertical ability. With her size, reach, and developing shot selection, Benson projects as a high-level recruit with an elite ceiling at the next level.     Currently ranked as the top middle blocker in the class, Johnson is an explosive athlete with serious bounce. She elevates with ease and hangs in the air, creating a window to score with both power and finesse. Her ability to move the ball around and through the block makes her a constant threat. Johnson plays for Athena 15 Gold and is already contributing on Mountainside's varsity team—an elite prospect in the middle with significant potential.     A high-ceiling prospect who brings versatility and size at 6'1”, Lewis is a left-handed rightside/setter hybrid with the physical tools to develop into a major recruit. She attacks with power and range from the right pin. She sets with a hgih contact point and a natural hand strength. She is already a presence on Athena 15 Gold and at Deerfield Academy, a boarding school in Massachusetts– Lewis is one to watch as her game continues to elevate.     Clark is a dynamic, high-flying pin hitter who can bring serious heat. With a big backswing and fast arm, she can bounce balls when on an open net and smartly moves the ball around against bigger blocks. She plays with confidence and athleticism, competing for NPJ Salem 15 National and on the Horizon Christian varsity team. She is a physical attacker with significant potential as she continues to develop.     A confident, crafty setter with elite-level poise and touch, Gunderson sets with finesse and creativity. Her hang strength and athleticism let her remain offensive in tight situations, often delivering one-handed push sets across the net. She's comfortable running a 5-1 and jump setting across the front row. Competing for NPJ Portland 15 National and Jesuit varsity, she's already a leader on the floor and a difference-maker in any rotation.     Thompson is a left-handed setter with excellent tempo, consistent location, and a high volleyball IQ. She communicates constantly, runs a clean offense, and has solid defensive instincts. Her ability to block and swing from the front row makes her a true dual-threat. She is a top-notch setter who can run a fast-paced system with precision, as she has already showcased when on the court for Athena 15 Gold and JV at Jesuit.     A dynamic, six-rotation player who recently transitioned from middle to pin, Zanon brings energy and versatility to the court. She's a savvy attacker with a wide range of shots and plays reliable defense behind the block. With her athleticism, emerging terminal ability, and all-around skill set, she's quickly becoming one of the most complete players in the class.
