The Kansas Class of 2026 is a class deep with talent at the setter position.

Three of the top setters in this class have already verbally committed to college programs. However, there are plenty of uncommitted college prospects left, including some ranked setters still flying under the recruitment radar.

Here is a look at five setters in the Kansas Class of 2026 that college coaches should check on this summer and fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='489769' first='McCoy' last='Phister'], 5'9”, S, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, '26

Phister is ranked No. 62 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She is a talented setter who helped guide the Crusaders to the state tournament last season. She finished her junior season with 484 assists in 97 sets played. She is extremely athletic and also finished her junior campaign with 118 kills, 196 digs, and 63 blocks.

[player_tooltip player_id='489668' first='Meka' last='Jennings'], 5'4”, S, Arkansas City, '26

Jennings is ranked No. 63 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026 rankings. She finished her junior season with 623 assists in 84 sets played. I saw her play during her sophomore season, one in which she recorded 358 assists. I was impressed with her energy and ability to adjust to passes that were off the mark. She will be leaned on to guide the Bulldog offense heading into her senior campaign. She will reach the 1,000 career benchmark early in the season and should make a run at 1,500 and 2,000 assists.

[player_tooltip player_id='730721' first='Ceeley' last='Friesen'], 5'6”, S, Smoky Valley, '26

Smoky Valley was a team that I usually see play, but missed last season. They have a gritty setter in Friesen, who is ranked No. 70 overall. The Vikings program has been highly competitive and well-coached this decade. Friesen brings a solid list of intangibles to the table that college coaches like. She finished her junior season with 769 assists in her first season as the starting setter.

[player_tooltip player_id='514541' first='Harper' last='Hafenstine'], 5'6”, S, Seaman, '26

Hafenstine is ranked No. 164 overall. She can easily get overlooked playing for a deep and talented Vikings' squad that just graduated multiple athletes who will be playing college volleyball this fall. Hafenstine shared setting duties last season and still accumulated an impressive total of 489 assists in 96 sets played.

[player_tooltip player_id='730727' first='McKinley' last='Sinclair'], 5'5”, S, Derby, '26

Sinclair is ranked No. 249. She is probably under-ranked, but the one match I saw her play last season was probably not her best. She finished with 660 assists in 80 sets played as a junior, almost doubling her numbers from the season before. She has talented Panther hitters around her, and she plays in a tough league, which will give her valuable experience moving forward.
