Of the incredible amount of teams from around the midwest attending the PrepDig Gauntlet in Wisconsin this coming weekend, 14 have at least one player from Indiana. Although we won't be able to get to all of them before play begins on Saturday, we're taking the time to mention as many as we can that are still looking for a place to play upon graduation. Here are five players from Dunes 17 Black (read: 17-1) that are still available to play in the fall of '26.

Big and physical, Brooke fits best on the right side, as her footwork looks the most natural there. I like the size, combined with the high attack touch, on a pin, as it causes fits for defenders to have to deal with a big that has capabilities of hitting multiple angles for points regularly. On the block, Brooke takes up a good amount of space, penetrates well, and is disciplined in that she's rarely in the net.

A fiery M2 if there ever was one, Meghan hits a heavy ball and can hit any angle given because of her regular transition footwork. She's ready to hit at a moment's notice, and her endless energy allows her be a full-go middle, rarely taking plays off. Although she's not at the six-foot height that some coaches like in the middle, Miss Carroll more than makes up for it in attack touch, pace of ball on the attack and fast, consistent footwork. She's relentless, and will cause bigger, lumbering middles to get frustrated because they might lack the energy that Meghan brings to the court.

Abby's silky smooth play at the setting position makes setting look easy. Trust me, it's not. From defending her position well, to having soft, consistent hands, Miss Haring has all the tools and the talent to run a 5-1 at the next level. Easy going and coachable, Abby is regularly finding the right attacker in the right situation, regardless of the score or where the ball is passed. It also helps that she's got size, making her a tough out as a blocker.

Of the kids we've mentioned on this squad today, none are more well-rounded and ready for the next level than Jenna. A six-rotation outside for the last couple of seasons, Jenna has the pass-to-attack motion down pat, and can turn defense into offense quickly. Smooth on the attack from the left pin, Miss Kelly can also score points in out-of-system plays---a trait that's not easily learned. The term "college-ready" for me also means that you can handle the bigger kids on defense while terminating against them from 0-0 to match point.

Although Maggie is among the shortest of the middles in this class, I'd argue that she's the hardest hitting of the bunch, especially on her Dunes squad. Exceptional in the M2 slot, Miss Duszynski is seemingly ready for a zero-tempo set on almost every transition opportunity. I also like her quick arm swing, as that allows her to beat most blocks going against her. Yes, she's 5'10", but that doesn't stop her from (1) scoring points in front of the setter at will, and (2) defending her position at an above-average level. Maggie is a plug-and-play middle for the next level, and looks college-ready right NOW.
