On June 14, I scouted three matches at the Kansas Klassic, an annual high school summer tournament hosted by Seaman.

This is the fourth and final report from that event. It features athletes from each of the five teams I saw play on Saturday.

Schwinn is ranked No. 22 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She had a solid first match against Holton, but I was focused on one of her other front-line athletes in that match, so I did not keep stats on her. In the second match against Seaman, she finished with seven kills, two digs, and two receptions. I know she had a couple of blocks against Holton. Her physicality and confidence continue to grow. She is one of my favorite middles in the Class of 2026. College coaches recruit middles like I eat chocolate-covered peanuts; fast and furious. Schwinn should be near the top of every in-state coach's recruitment board.

[player_tooltip player_id='513606' first='Hailey' last='Schmidtlein'], 6'0”, OH/MB, Hayden, '28 (Pictured Above)

Schmidtlein is ranked No. 1 overall in the Kansas Class of 2028. She recorded six kills, three serve receptions, and three digs in Hayden's win over Emporia. It was not the best match I have seen from her, but she continues to demonstrate the skills and level of play to be highly ranked.

[player_tooltip player_id='783588' first='Kaylee' last='DeWitt'], 5'8”, S/RS, Emporia, '27

DeWitt is currently unranked, but a profile has been created for her, and she will be added to the rankings before the season starts. She had a solid game against Hayden. She had four digs and a block for the Spartans and ran the offense well.

[player_tooltip player_id='783418' first='Ella' last='Tuck'], 5'3”, DS/L, Seaman, '29

The one disadvantage to scouting summer action is that not all teams wear school uniforms or have numbers on their tops. It was difficult to keep track of players at times. Tuck was one I kept losing track of for Seaman. She is a quick unranked libero, who will be added to the '29 rankings. I liked her platform, her quick burst laterally, and she looks like a future leader of the Vikings.

[player_tooltip player_id='783690' first='Emily' last='Dietzler'], 5'10”, MB, Holton, '26

One athlete from Holton who stood out was Dietzler. She had three kills and two blocks in a match against Jefferson West. She is a secondary attacking role in the Wildcat offense. She has the size and skill to play for a NAIA program.
