Senior middle blocker Addison Schwinn has been a steady presence for Jefferson West this season, using her size, timing, and volleyball IQ to dominate at the net. Ranked No. 34 in Kansas’ 2026 class, Schwinn has totaled 258 kills and 68 blocks, proving herself as both a reliable scorer and a defensive anchor.
At 5’11”, she moves well laterally, reads the game at a high level, and consistently puts herself in position to disrupt opposing hitters. A “lean, mean blocking machine”, Schwinn’s mix of athleticism, awareness, and competitiveness makes her one of the top uncommitted middles in the state.

I have scouted Jefferson West road matches, but I have never been to their home gym. Therefore, I decided that my first matches of the year would be to catch a Tigers’ home match in Meriden. Schwinn is ranked No. 34 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She is an athlete I have seen play quite often and, in my opinion, is one of the top uncommitted middles in the class of 2026. The Tigers will be hosting the St. Marys Bears and Nemaha Central Thunder. I expect to watch the Tigers’ first match against St. Marys.

Jefferson West is going to be an exciting team to watch this season. Schwinn is ranked No. 34 overall and will be at the center of that excitement. She has recorded at least 50 blocks in three straight seasons and has the combination of size and jumping skills to play at the next level. College coaches are always looking to add “difference-makers” who can play middle and Schwinn fits that bill.

Jefferson West is a team I usually see play at least one game during the fall. The Tigers have been at two summer events that I have been to, so I have become familiar with the program and its athletes. Schwinn, ranked No. 22 overall, is another athlete I hope to see play at least one more time before her high school career is over. I usually see the Tigers play against Holton, but I already have their matches scheduled for September 2 and September 4 penciled in as possible matches to scout.

Schwinn is a talent that I have not seen for a while. Jeff West starts its tournament against Holton on Court I. That match is scheduled to start in the 9:15 am window. Depending on the flow of matches, I plan on scouting Jeff West’s second match of the day against host Seaman. Schwinn is a powerful middle on a team loaded with talent. She is ranked No. 22 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026.

The Jeff West prospect has participated in the event in the past. She is a hard-hitting middle with a huge upside. She is currently ranked No. 7 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She has benefited from competing in the Showcase and from being on a winning prep team.
