College coaches always seem to be on the hunt for middle attackers, and the 2027 Kansas Rankings are loaded with talented ones at that position.

Here is a look at five-ranked middles who have not been mentioned in recent reports and are still flying under the radar on the prep volleyball scene.

[player_tooltip player_id='566826' first='Lynsi' last='Kanak'], 6'1”, MB, Hays, '27

Kanak is a physical middle ranked No. 136 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She finished her sophomore season with 55 kills and 45 blocks in 71 sets played for the Indians. She is a strong prospect who will continue to improve with additional playing experience.

[player_tooltip player_id='714733' first='Madison' last='Stanard'], 5'10”, MB, Manhattan, '27

Stanard is ranked No. 178 overall. She recorded 65 kills and 54 blocks for the Indians last fall. She has a long reach and peaked at the right time last season. I saw her play in the Class 6A State Tournament last season. She had a couple of key blocks in that tournament.

[player_tooltip player_id='734426' first='Aubree' last='Hess'], 6'2”, MB, Emporia, '27

Hess is ranked No. 192 overall in the Class of 2027. She was a blocking machine for the Spartans last fall. She finished her sophomore season with 98 blocks and 84 kills in 86 varsity sets for Emporia.

[player_tooltip player_id='734431' first='Addy' last='Schooler'], 6'1”, MB, Tonganoxie, '27

Schooler is a multi-sport prospect ranked No. 200 overall. She had solid numbers on the volleyball and basketball courts last season for the Chieftains. Schooler recorded 111 kills and 75 blocks in 92 sets during her sophomore season.

[player_tooltip player_id='749185' first='Mekayla' last='Friesen'], 6'1”, MB, South Gray, '27

Friesen is a small Western school prospect with a huge upside. She is ranked No. 204 overall by Prep Dig Kansas. She is recorded 116 kills and 66 blocks during her sophomore campaign. She has a quick swing, but can improve her approach by getting quicker. She has the potential to be a net monster and has the kind of size that college coaches love.
