When it comes to the Class of 2027, the Muskegon area has a lot of prospects that look like they could be standout talents.

Here's a look at some of those players that we think might make a big name for themselves over the next two years.

Laci Geurink, MH Coopersville

Coopersville has been great at producing top-level middle talents and Geurink shows a lot of promise. She has a nice mixture of spots and isn't afraid to attack the boundaries. Her decision-making is already ahead of other middles in this class.

Izabel Hanson-Wilbur, OH Fruitport

A multi-sport talent, Hanson-Wilbur made nice strides as an outside in her sophomore season, improving on production and efficiency in all areas of the game. Her defensive play made big strides in the fall, proving she can be a future six-rotation outside that a team can build around.

[player_tooltip player_id='778028' first='Bria' last='Hogeboom'], S Grand Haven/MVA

The sophomore setter has a high ceiling and could be one of the potential breakout candidates in the class. She makes a lot of smart choices and is developing new facets to her game. Hogeboom takes well to coaching and has shown she can quickly apply new skills.

[player_tooltip player_id='481385' first='Allison' last='Musial'], OH Grand Haven/MVA

Musial is a well-balanced player that could be on the rise in the rankings. She's showing she can finish consistently from either pin with a strong follow through on her swing. Musial also has a solid defensive base, able to be effective at serve receive and taking on opposing attacks.

Alayna Schiller, DS/L Hart/Inside Out

Schiller has a real nose for the ball, putting up over 500 digs as a sophomore for Hart. She stays low to the ground and remains light on her feet to get squared up to opposing attacks and make challenging digs look routine.

Reegan Schwemin, MH North Muskegon

Schwemin has a lot of explosiveness off the floor and she's showing good court awareness as a sophomore. She can put down a big kill, but sees the defense well enough to make a last-second adjustment in order to finish a rally. Look for big things to come from Schwemin.

Brianna Warners, S Western Michigan Christian/Impact

Already with a lot of experience running a potent offense, Warners displays a lot of maturity and leadership skills. She racked up nearly 1,000 assists for WMC last fall and has a good feel for where the ball needs to go.

[player_tooltip player_id='462086' first='Mallory' last='Woiteshek'], OH Grand Haven/MVA

The 6'3” Woiteshek has established herself as one of the top players in this class. On top of her length, she moves really well and has good hang time to be an unstoppable force at the net. Already a top blocker, Woiteshek continues to improve on her overall defensive play.

Delaney Young, OH North Muskegon

Young brings a good competitive fire to the court. She plays with intensity and wants the ball coming her way during pressure situations. She's got the ability to impact the game with her attacks or her defense, but is savvy enough to make plays in a variety of ways.
