PD Gauntlet 14 Premier - Names to Know!

The following 14u premier players were on fire at the Gauntlet. These are all players to know and keep track off as they finally enter high school, grow their game, and make huge names for themselves in the volleyball circuit. She has excellent body control, can get to tight sets, and take big swings. She also has effiicent movements on defense, reads the opposing teams setter well, and puts up a steady, effective block.     Wilkinson is another young middle on the rise. This FC elite player is quick footed, moves efficiently, and has big a vertical. Combine that with her quick arm swing and you have a middle that impressive routinely. Wilkinson also moves efficiently from side to side, can close the block, and thus, is a force on the defensive end as well.       Gallion is a lefty right side and setter. While I watched her primarily play right side, she has a big explosive approach, solid reach, quick arm swing and big snap that makes her a force to be reckoned with from the right pin. Gallion also does a solid job reading the block in front of her. She does a good job throwing in tips and off speed shots to keep defenders scrambling.     Hahn is well on her way to making a name for herself as a libero. She is does a good job passing off her midline in serve receive, creating excellent angles and delivering passes routinely to target. Hahn also does a good job placing out of system balls to her pins so they can take big swings to score points. Hahn is a big scorer herself…the lefty has a fantastic float serve with a ton of movement on it that teams find difficult to return.     Michio won the championship at the Gauntlet with a huge contribution from setter, Hayes. Running a 5-1, Hayes reads the court well, anticipates the ball, and moves quickly to position herself to deliver clean sets to her attackers. Hayes does an Impeccable job seeing the court and moving the ball around to get all of her hitters involved. While she has quite the arsenal of players to choose from, she makes smart setting choices, often resulting in attackers being isolated or having a big seam to hit through.     Silva is a versatile, pin hitter on the rise. She is quick, has a big vertical, fast arm swing, and gets on top of the ball to terminate all over the court. She also does a good job reading the block in front of her. She can hit the seam, go around the block entirely, hit off speed shots, and will push to the deep corners to score points for her team. Silva is definitely on the short list of players to keep tabs on as this 2029 enters high school and begins to turn heads everywhere.
