Well-Rounded Texas Pin Hitters at the Triple Crown Summer NIT

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The club volleyball season is entering its final month, as in just a few weeks, the season-ending National Championships will be held in Dallas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Clubs teams around the country which are set to contend for the national title by the end of the month are now focused on fine-tuning their games for the biggest moment of the season and this week, many sides from Texas will make the trip to Arizona to do so as they compete in the Triple Crown Summer NIT.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Reuniting 112 teams from multiple states across five divisions, the tournament is going to be held at the Arizona Athletic Grounds, in Mesa, from Saturday to Monday, and will serve as a big part of the teams' preparations for the National Championships.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Texas is sending 27 teams to Arizona this weekend, and between now and the start of the tournament, we're featuring some of the top players from the Lone Star State who will be on the court in Mesa. A technical and explosive player, she appears well on both sides of the ball and makes a major impact in her team's play. Due to her excellent ball control, Lagasse is very important in the backcourt, handling her passing duties with tremendous efficiency and coming up with big digs. The younger sister of US national team players Avery and Madi, she seems poised to follow in their footsteps and become an elite player at the next level. From an athletic standpoint, it does look like she's already at another level, as very few players in her age group have her vertical and quickness, let alone both combined. Skinner is an elite point-scorer who combines power, vision and an intriguing ability to improvise and find solutions to difficult situations. Standing at 6'1", she's the team's primary scoring option and does a great job of carrying their offensive load, putting the ball with consistency and in difficult situations. Herron can score from the left and the right, makes contact with the ball at a very high point and is excellent at finding ways to hit around the opposing block. She's also a very strong defensive player, who makes an impact at the net with her blocking.
