Skinner will lead Houston Skyline 16 Royal in the event’s 16 Invitational Division. The youngest product of a volleyball-rich family that has two of her older sisters playing in the USWNT right now, she’s a dynamic and athletic pin hitter who can carry her team offensively at the highest level. Skinner gets off the floor very well and has a uniquely powerful right arm, but what gives her an edge at the net is her incredible court vision. She can find nice angles at the pin and is also very good with her shot placement when swinging from the middle back position. Skinner does well on the back row, serving aggressively and passing at a consistently good level.

With Fulshear heavily relying on their middles to score, the sophomore outside hitter didn’t have as much of an offensive role as she’s used to, but she was there when her team needed her. Skinner was very steady with her offense, finding gaps on the block to score and making very few errors. In the third set, when Cy-Fair had their best moment in the match, she was the one to step up, getting many sets at the pin and the middle back position and converting them, especially in key moments. Skinner also had a solid game in serve-receive for the most part and came up with nice digs.

The sophomore outside hitter carried Fulshear to victory with an outstanding offensive performance. With her sister Madisen watching on the sidelines, Skinner was on fire at the net, getting set very frequently and converting her swings into points at a very high rate. Her leaping ability and heavy right arm helped, but it was Skinner’s excellent vision and decision-making that made her impossible to stop at times. The outside hitter had a brief moment of difficulty with her passing in the first set that affected her side out, but she quickly shook it off and performed at a very high level in both areas until the end of the match. She also served very well and ended the match with an ace.

Skinner will be with the Houston Skyline 15 Royal team that will compete in the Power Pool in the 15s division. The younger sister of US national team players Avery and Madi, she seems poised to follow in their footsteps and become an elite player at the next level. From an athletic standpoint, it does look like she’s already at another level, as very few players in her age group have her vertical and quickness, let alone both combined. Skinner is an elite point-scorer who combines power, vision and an intriguing ability to improvise and find solutions to difficult situations. The pin hitter also makes an impact on the backcourt, passing at a very high level and often going on long serving runs.

Jada is currently an unranked prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings, but that is only because I have not released them yet. She plays volleyball at Fulshear High School and plays club for the Houston Skyline volleyball program. There are many words that come to mind to describe her play like athletic, explosive, graceful, dynamic, etc. I could go on and on and on with superlatives from what I saw in person. Although she only stands as listed at five foot nine, this young lady lives above the net all game. Everyone is always amazed at her astounding vertical and hang time when she attacks the ball. The speed at which she explodes off of the ground is next level but seems so effortless. The game seems to come so easy to her and it is a true joy to watch her do her thing. If we were designing a player from scratch it would have all of her tangible and intangible assets. When you watch her footwork on the court, it almost looks like a ghost gliding everywhere. On a team full of high level stars, she shines very bright. The setters on this team move the ball around well to all of the hitters, but in crunch time, they definitely try to find her more often than not. I highly recommend every college coach in America to give her a hard look as she will be a household name very soon.

Skinner was the main offensive weapon of the Houston Skyline 15 Royal team that secured a fourth-placed finish with five wins and three losses. Because of her ability to get off the ground and her heavy right arm, she was very difficult to stop. Skinner also displayed a very high volleyball IQ, finding solutions to difficult plays and keeping her errors very low, despite her high usage rate. She also passed extremely well and had some nice serving runs that helped her team either create a comfortable lead or cut their opponent’s.

I was mesmerized watching Jada play. The combination of her vertical, hang-time, and quick swing makes her attacks lethal. She has the approach and swing of a pro athlete. She truly flies through the air. She is also just an all-around player. When it comes to her serve receive, she is very calm and precise. She confidently takes every ball that comes to her. All of her receptions were no less than a 2. Jada’s serves were also were very elite. The ball float just inches over the net with her spot serve being just as precise as her passes. This led to her getting several aces. You can easily see that Jada is also a leader on the court. She is constantly commending and supporting her teammates. You can tell that they trust her, and can look to her for validation. As she continues to grow more over the next four years, she’s definitely going to be someone truly special.

It looks like there will be another Skinner dominating the Houston area very soon as Jada, the younger sister of US Women’s national team players Avery and Madi, played a major role in the victory of her team Houston Skyline 15 Royal in the division. An explosive outside hitter, she was in a league of her own when it came to athleticism and was a force to her team at the net. Skinner’s swings were also very difficult to control because of the amount of power she was able to put into them and, because of that, she was the team’s go-to scoring option, converting at a great clip even when set at the middle back position. The outside hitter also displayed excellent ball control, handling her passing duties efficiently and playing great defense.
