At the PrepDig Nevada Freshman Showcase, a select group of athletes rose to the occasion, not just with flashy kills or highlight digs, but through the intangibles that make winning teams possible. These players excelled in the moments that often go unnoticed. They were vocal, focused, selfless, and consistent.   They didn't just “ball out”, they embodied exactly what college coaches are looking for in recruits: competitors who elevate everyone around them. Whether they were setting the tone with energy, making smart decisions in transition, or leading by example, these athletes brought next-level character and court awareness. These six athletes make an impact with or without the ball in their hands, and they stood out for all the right reasons. Whether setting the tempo or defending the backcourt, Lyla made a point to uplift those around her. Her willingness to let others step into plays when it made sense showed her high volleyball IQ and humility. She plays with obvious passion and heart, and her voice on the court was a steady presence. Despite being asked to play a position she hadn't anticipated at the showcase, she stepped in with confidence and a constant smile. Her hustle was relentless, and her upbeat energy was contagious. From sideline support to fearless pursuit on defense, Blake made it clear she's a team-first athlete. Her body language, focus, and court vision stood out as much as her physical skills. Named the Avoli Committed Athlete of the showcase, Daylin brings a complete presence to the game.
