We are concluding the month of July with several articles highlighting players from specific player groups and classes who turned in outstanding 2025 club seasons. These players will be rolling into the high school volleyball season with most college camps in the rearview mirror. The state of Washington won't have practices until August 25th, giving athletes a much-needed break from the grind. (if they want it!) Here are five liberos that caught our eye from the 2026 class.

Snyder is a genuine Swiss Army Knife - she can step in and play any position, including handling the middle blocker spot this club season when she had to step in. She set for Prairie during the school year, and she can swing from the pin and is always playing terrific defense. Snyder is as versatile as they come- her speed, skill, and willingness to play any spot make her a valuable part of any team.

Eastep can swing from both pins, and she did during the club season for RVC; regardless, her defense is outstanding, and she made plays matter, irrespective of the position she was playing. The Lewis and Clark 2026 can run down tips and shots, and is athletic when she has to go to the floor and swipe up a ball with one hand. Eastep has a bit more length than some liberos, which helps when she is patrolling the back row.

Aubrey played for OJVA 18 Gold during the club season, handling DS and libero duties for the squad at different points during the campaign. The Columbia River 2026 is a fundamentally sound defender with a well-trained platform in serve receive, and a nice feel for what offenses are trying to do against her teams.

Demant improved throughout the club season, after missing school ball in the fall with an injury. The Mead 2026 prospect had played as a setter and attacker previously, but excelled in her role as a libero with CPA 17 Benson. Her strong hands allow her to play the ball overhand cleanly, and her out-of-system setting is accurate, with great tempo. Demant manipulates her platform angles and moves her feet easily in serve receive; her passing was one of the keys to CPA ending the season with a win in the Global Challenge Volleyball Tournament in Croatia this month.

Orffer was not only roaming the back row for PJVBC this season; she stepped in at OH when the team needed her to help out at the net. Orffer is a solid all-around player who covers her hitters, passes the ball with consistency, and is a good enough athlete to deliver a kill when called upon. She is tough from the service line, dealing out a diving, second-tempo jump float that drops just as it reaches the back row passers.
