<p class="text-gray-700">Powell (pictured) makes the simple passes on both soft and hard hits. Howard can handle tough cross shots from solid hitters. Howard provides sound net protection and does not hide behind blocks. Howard had 445 digs last fall, helping the Pirates go 24-10 and win the 56th District championship to make it to the region tournament.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Ponce is reliable on first touches for the Wolves. Ponce tracks balls then makes simple bump and overhead passes. Ponce also provides good net coverage. Ponce makes pancake digs against solid hitters. Ponce can handle soft and hard hits.</p>

<p>Chrisman stepped forward to take a larger role for the Kats last season. She starts up the offense and can set up hitters on second passes when needed. Chrisman is also a good communicator. Chrisman had 181 digs for the Kats last season.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Puckett does a good job watching opposing hitting tendencies and positioning herself near those spots to make the routine passes. Puckett hustles after balls only diving or lunging when needed. Puckett had 443 digs last season, helping the Engineers go to the 14th Region Tournament last year.</p>
