One of the most difficult aspects of the club volleyball season is to earn the elusive bid to USA Volleyball's Girls Junior National Championship. This year, the prestigious event will be held at the Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center in Dallas, Texas from June 25th til July 3rd. Prep Dig will be covering the event from start to finish. This article will be highlighting some awesome individual players who caught my eye due to their performance.

[player_tooltip player_id='534291' first='Gentry' last='Barker'] of MadFrog 16 National Green proved that she is exactly who we thought she was. A flat out beast! I absolutely love the way that she plays the game…without fear. When her team needed her the most, she took over and provided some much needed heat to light the fire. As the season comes to a close on a spectacular year of growth, Miss Barker is consistently someone who can step up to a challenge and want the ball. She put the nail in the coffin during their challenge match to earn a spot in the top 8 Gold Bracket of 16 Open. We cannot wait to see what she does tomorrow on day four.

[player_tooltip player_id='412438' first='Dakota' last='Huynh'] of Dallas Skyline 16 Royal Whitney is extremely frustrating to any opposing attacker. I guarantee that she has some ball magnets imbedded into her platform because the ball always finds her arms instead of hitting the ground. She is lightning fast as she tracks the ball down and keeps it from scoring. As a defender, it is so refreshing and entertaining to watch her perform. All young liberos or any player wanting to be better at ball control should study her game and mirror what she does. This young lady is very special and I was very impressed with her today.

Jordan Mitchell of Waco Juniors 16 UA Black looked lethal today out of the middle. I watched her take over a match in pool play on both sides of the ball. At one point in the match, she solo blocked the opposing middle twice and I wondered why the opposing setter kept trying her. On the offensive end, it looked like she had an extra levitation gear that helped her gain a few inches of vertical as she attacked with aggressiveness. She definitely turned my head a few times and I look forward to adding her to one of our Ranking lists in our next update.

[player_tooltip player_id='502107' first='Camille' last='Csernik'] of [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] 16 Adidas had some moments of brilliance today when her squad needed her to. As an attacker, she throttled the ball with immense power a few times that had everyone in awe. The lengthy pin showed just how good of a hitter she is during their challenge match when I watched. She is super athletic and filled with raw natural power during high tempo sets. From the service line she also proved to be lethal as she had the opposing serve receivers out of system a few times in crucial moments.
