Arizona’ 2026 Top Setters: Leaving Their Legacy (4A-6A)

With the 2026 season almost underway, these setters are ready to leave their final marks in their 4A-6A divisions. With these top players coming down from thrilling club season finishes, including some appearances at Nationals we can't wait to see the offenses these athletes will run in their final high school season. From 6-rotation offensive hitter/setter combo players, to dynamic 5-1 quick minds, and everything in between, we just know they're going to shine this season.   Who are the standouts? She recently led her team to win the 2025 USAV National Championship through her hard work and dedication to her team. Her AZ Sky 17 Gold Coach, Liv Afusia describes her as one of the hardest working players she knows. Never letting balls drop even on bad passes.   Standing at 5'11, she brings finesse and precision to each set. Her ability to run her middles quickly on not ideal passes throws her opponents off, creating opportunities to score.   She poses a threat offensively and defensively, while running a super impactful offense, making her a player that simply can't leave the court. Coming off of her 1st Team All Conference and Region Player of the Year awards, we just know 2026 is going to be her year as she closes her high school career and heads to Cincinnati.   As an undersized hitter standing at 5'10, she plays the strategic game better than anyone. Her volleyball IQ is off the charts, as she knows how to trick middles with her neutral body language, leaving her hitters in 1-1 blocking situations.   Coming off her Junior Career at Sunrise Mountain, she is totaling over 2,000 assists. We can't wait to see how her team shines under her leadership.     Avery knows what it's like to be on top. As a 5 time National Open Finalist, she knows how to handle pressure with ease. She thrives on challenging herself constantly, playing up in age division each year of her club journey. As a result, she's part of one of the most decorated club teams in history, winning 4 Open Division National Championships. Battling through many injuries, she knows how to come out on top.   Avery is a true threat, especially in her backrow game. Her ability to throw teams off with a smooth, two-handed attack over the net never fails. She's also not afraid to take risks and run a quick offense, no matter what the first ball looks like. Her lights out defense makes running out-of-system plays effortless. Coming off a State Championship in the 2024 season, we are sure to see her rise to the occasion and lead her squad this season as she fights for one more title.   Problem-solving is in Brookelynn's nature as she always knows who her go-to scorers are on the court at all times. She's established deep relationships with her teammates and that trust is evident to those who watch her run the floor. She's played alongside and earned the trust of some of Arizona's best, including Nebraska All-Star Teraya Sigler.   Clocking in over 1200 career assists to date, Brookelynn is sure to have an amazing ending to a successful career. Her positive and encouraging court presence contribute to why her school team at Xavier College Prep is so successful. Her teammates know they are valued under her leadership as she is intentional with each member.   Along with her incredible leadership style, this Villanova bound setter knows her stuff. Her court IQ is off the charts and her ability to create a flow is unmatched. Defensively, she's unmatched in the right back spot, keeping her team in a rhythm regardless of being out of system. There's no pass she can't get to where she doesn't put up an opportunity for her team to attack. Her ability to run a quick tempo offense makes her a stand out amongst the setters in 5A. Playing up in age on Aspire's Alpha 18's team helped her develop as an all around strategic weapon.   Drew knows that off the court chemistry is just as important as on the court chemistry. She understands that as a setter it's incredibly important to build connections with her team on and off the court. The cohesion she brings to her team is evident every time she steps on the court.   With Chapparal making it to the final 4 in 5A in 2024, we just know Drew is going to come out with fire to lead them to the top.     4A volleyball has seen this threat leading her team to victory over and over again in the last few years at Thunderbird High School. Her determination and composure set her apart as a leader. As a 2 year Captain and four year starter, she has the ability to put her teammates in the best possible positions to succeed consistently.   As a 5-1 offensive and defensive setter, Cecelia led her 4A Skyline Conference and was 2nd in assists in the state in the 2024 and 2025 season. Bringing electric energy to the floor, she knows how to stay poised under pressure and make an impact with each play.   She is on track to break her schools record this upcoming season for assists and could possibly catch another record for aces! Her coach, Carly Price, says she's blessed to have had a leader like her for the past few seasons. We can't wait to see how she closes out her career.
