With her steady presence setting the tone, Sunrise has soared this season and enters the 5A playoffs ranked #2, a testament to Lily’s ability to run the floor and lead by example.

Statistically, Lily has been phenomenal. She currently ranks #1 in 5A for assists and #8 overall in the state of Arizona, with a remarkable 837 assists this season. On the defensive side, she has been just as impressive, recording 255 digs and keeping her team clean out of system. She’s also contributed 44 aces, showcasing her ability to make an impact from every corner of the court.

With Lily’s leadership guiding them, Sunrise has all the pieces in place to compete for a state title. Her combination of skill, composure, and competitive drive makes her the kind of floor general every team dreams of, and there’s no doubt she’ll continue to elevate her team as the postseason unfolds.

Lily had a great tournament, being one of the key members of the championship team. Lily had the offense humming averaging over 12.5 assist a set throughout the 6 matches that Sunrise Mountain had during the tournament.

She wasn’t just doing well with her sets, she also did well with her defense and timely kills shots as well. She average over 4 digs a set and 1 kill a set on top of the 12.5 assists a set. She had a all around great tournament and kept defenses guessing with her tempo and offensive game as well.

Lily did a great job spreading the ball around and keeping teams guessing where the ball was going so blockers couldn’t get to their hitters as well. Her ability to locate hitters in transition and still deliver a tempo ball to all locations on the floor is what really separated her as well.

It was easy to see why this top level setter is a standout for this tournament. Her exceptional decision making and all around game was a big reason why she stood out and a even bigger reason as to why her team won the championship.

Lily Rolfes Lily Rolfes S Sunrise Mountain | 2026 State #89 Nation AZ has already made a huge impact in the 5A volleyball world, and we know she’s not done yet. Coming off of her 1st Team All Conference and Region Player of the Year awards, we just know 2026 is going to be her year as she closes her high school career and heads to Cincinnati.

As an undersized hitter standing at 5’10, she plays the strategic game better than anyone. Her volleyball IQ is off the charts, as she knows how to trick middles with her neutral body language, leaving her hitters in 1-1 blocking situations.

Coming off her Junior Career at Sunrise Mountain, she is totaling over 2,000 assists. We can’t wait to see how her team shines under her leadership.
