Arkansas High School 5A/6A Captains

<p>As the high school volleyball season in Arkansas begins, many teams have just selected who their captain/captains will be for this season. These are a few of the many captains across the state in the 5A and 6A divisions this season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Little Rock Central - [player_tooltip player_id='744576' first='Jaxon' last='Jersey'] and [player_tooltip player_id='800585' first='Lydia' last='Warrior']</h2>   <p>Jersey is a very smart attacker. Though she is not the tallest attacker out there, height doesn't matter for her. She makes very smart plays and places the ball very well in open spots. She sees the block really well and tools it very well. She is also very scrappy out of the middle back. Warrior is a very versatile player. If you want her to play Libero, she will play that position like she has played it her whole life. If you want her to swing, she will play front row like she has her whole life. Jersey and Warrior will lead Central to a very successful season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Cabot - [player_tooltip player_id='535392' first='Mecate' last='Marsh']</h2>   <p>Marsh is a very smart setter that will be the captain for Cabot this season. She has a high volleyball IQ such as knowing where to set the ball based on where the opposing blockers are currently set up at. She runs different plays very consistently and is going to be a huge asset to Cabot's success this year.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Shiloh Christian - [player_tooltip player_id='843747' first='Mary' last='Reece'] and [player_tooltip player_id='808122' first='Chloe' last='Blessing']</h2>   <p>Reece is a pin hitter on her Shiloh Christian team. Reece will lead the reigning 5A State champs to yet another very successful season. Blessing is another pin hitter. She does a great job at finding a high contact point and swinging over the block. She does a great job of transitioning out of serve receive to attacking. Reece and Blessing will be lethal together and be great team captains.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Bentonville - [player_tooltip player_id='809343' first='Adalynn' last='Bollinger'], [player_tooltip player_id='807740' first='Kennedy' last='Baber'], and Kylah Manthe</h2>   <p>Bollinger is the Libero for Bentonville. Her serve receive and defense was a huge factor in their long run in the state tournament in 2024. Her ability to read the hitters is also very impressive and she is definitely one of the top Liberos in the state. Baber is a young pin hitter for this bentonville team. She does a great job at swinging hard down the line in the deep corner. She does a great job at knowing when to take off the swing and when to roll into the middle. Manthe is a consistent setter that has a great connection with her attackers. Bollinger, Baber, and Manthe will all be the team captains for their bentonville team this season.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">White Hall - [player_tooltip player_id='821431' first='Jacey' last='Insley']</h2>   <p>Insley is a senior captain for her White Hall team this season. With an impressive Junior year, this strong attacker will lead her team in skills and energy. Insley is one to stay calm under pressure which is a huge reason as to why she is a captain. She will be an exceptional team captain for White Hall.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Fayetteville - [player_tooltip player_id='411288' first='Piper' last='Batie'] and [player_tooltip player_id='845823' first='Lauren' last='Taylor']</h2>   <p>Batie, Missouri commit, is no doubt one of the top players in her class in Arkansas. She sets quick tempo sets to the pins and middle. She does a great job at setting up her attackers for success. She is also a very strong attacker as well. Taylor does a great job at finding high hands when attacking the ball. She it very impressive at swinging around the block. She hits a hard line shot that is difficult to defend. [player_tooltip player_id='411288' first='Piper' last='Batie'] and [player_tooltip player_id='845823' first='Lauren' last='Taylor'] will be leading Fayetteville this year to victory. </p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Mount St Mary's - Josie Wrape and [player_tooltip player_id='750314' first='Ella' last='Nelson']</h2>   <p>Wrape bring an energy like no other. Her energy is like a boost of dopamine as she can sway the moment from the other side of the court to hers with her voice. She is also a very strong attacker and puts up one of the biggest blocks in Arkansas. Nelson is a very scrappy Libero/DS. Her serve receive is very consistent. She does a great job at reading the opposing attackers and has quick reactions, which has made it hard to get the ball past her. Josie Wrape and [player_tooltip player_id='750314' first='Ella' last='Nelson'] will lead their team to their success with the energy and strong defense.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Rogers - [player_tooltip player_id='744835' first='Dyllan' last='Chandler'], [player_tooltip player_id='833628' first='Kameah' last='Cates'], and Madelyn Hagemier</h2>   <p>Chandler is very good at swinging hard cross into the deep corner. Her energy will be a huge boost for her Mountie squad this year. She also puts up an impressive block. Though Cates is not one of the tallest attackers, she does a great job at scoring points by tooling the block or beating the middle blocker and swinging through the gap in the block. Hagemier is a crafty middle blocker. She does a pretty impressive job at swinging over the block and catching the opposing defense on their heels. Rogers will be lead by captains [player_tooltip player_id='744835' first='Dyllan' last='Chandler'], [player_tooltip player_id='833628' first='Kameah' last='Cates'], and Madelyn Hagemier.</p>
