G’s Most Dynamic Middles at Houston Stock Up Showcase

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Last Sunday was a very fun one as Prep Dig had its Stock Up Showcase come to Houston, providing prospects from the area and beyond an additional opportunity to showcase their skills and raise their profiles ahead of the start of the high school season in Texas.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With prospects from the classes of 2026, 2027 and 2028 taking part in the event held at the [program_tooltip program_id='462263' first='TAV' last='Houston'] facility, it was also an opportunity for us, scouts, to get familiar with new faces while tracking the progress of the ones we already knew. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With the event completed, I'm now ready to share the names of the players who had the most impressive performances in each position. She was physical enough to make an impact at the net, but made an impression with a level of mobility and ball control you typically don't get to see in players in the position. Hargis was very efficient offensively, using her vision to beat blocks and put the ball down, and also held her own defensively with her blocking. The middle was very active offensively and managed to use her physical tools to consistently put the ball down, making contact with it at a high point and hitting it hard past blockers and defenders. DeMarr also displayed good efficiency with her blocking, moving well at the net and playing aggressively. She was very efficient offensively, getting off the floor very well and using her quick and powerful right arm to score points. Johnson also displayed a solid blocking game, timing her actions very well when she went up to play defense at the net. She also spent some time playing on the right and adjusted well to the higher sets at the pin.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
