Juliet DeMarr Juliet DeMarr 6'2" | MB/OH Fort Bend Christian Academy | 2028 TX is a Class of 2028 middle blocker and outside hitter from Fort Bend Christian Academy and Texas Legacy Volleyball Club. Her SportsRecruits profile lists her as capable of playing outside hitter, opposite, middle blocker, defensive specialist, and setter, and while that kind of positional breadth can sometimes indicate a player who has not found her identity, in her case it reflects a volleyball IQ and an athletic ability so broad that the game genuinely has not found a role it can limit her to. At 6’2″ she brings the physical tools to dominate in the front row at the middle or the pin. The dual nature of her identity as both a middle and an outside hitter means she attacks from a wider variety of positions and angles than specialized hitters do, which creates matchup problems that defensive coordinators have to actively account for. DeMarr is one of the middles in the Texas Legacy 16 Elite team that will compete in the 16 Bid Division. The tallest player on the team, she can play anywhere at the net, but is most commonly used in the middle, where she can make more of an impact with her blocking. DeMarr is also very productive offensively, making the most of her high contact point and decision-making to pick the right shots to put the ball down. The middle is an asset at the service line as well, serving tough floaters who often get opponents out of system.

Highlights

DeMarr is a new face with the TX Legacy 16 Elite team that will compete in the 16 Invitational Division, having joined them this season. She’s very physical, but also extremely mobile and well-rounded, and can play on the right or even at the pin as well. DeMarr is a strong offensive player who uses her vision and high contact point to score at a high level while also keeping her errors very low. A disciplined blocker, she’s always where she needs to be with her blocking, giving the defenders behind her a reliable reference to work with. DeMarr is also a very good server, who consistently gets opponents out of system with her aggressive floaters.

Standing at 6’1″, DeMarr was easily the most physical middle in the gym and she had a very strong presence at the net. The middle was very active offensively and managed to use her physical tools to consistently put the ball down, making contact with it at a high point and hitting it hard past blockers and defenders. DeMarr also displayed good efficiency with her blocking, moving well at the net and playing aggressively. She was able to keep a strong level of play during the entire event, showing good endurance.
