I'm fairly certain she knew where they were going to send the ball before they had even decided. Gehring was constantly talking through the play and encouraging those around her. Most impressive was her ability to rally those on her court to help shag balls before ever needing to be asked. This includes bouncing back from mistakes, learning from a loss, recovering from an injury, and maintaining a positive attitude through challenges. As a setter, you have to be prepared to adjust, and Walker did a great job of making those adjustments on the net. One of my first notes on McDonough was 1 word. "Fearless". She came to compete, and she did just that. Whenever a backrow spot needed to be filled, she was there and never shied away from a big swing.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Passion &amp; Love for the Game</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Coaches want to recruit players who genuinely love their sport. This passion is evident in the player's energy, enthusiasm, and willingness to push themselves in and out of drills. I loved how she was eager to step in and take swings because she has a great reach, and she's always ready to attack.
