The Michigan Stock Up Showcase was well represented by 2027 talent on Sunday in Pontiac.

There's a lot from this group looking to make a bigger splash in the fall and many should do just that.

Here's our first part of player evaluations from this class.

[player_tooltip player_id='530458' first='Alexia' last='Decker'], OH Oxford/L2

Decker looks pretty good in all phases of the game. She definitely was laser-focused, almost looking like she was in a trance sometimes. That brought a lot of good moments due to her attention to detail. Decker has a swing with a smooth follow through and it should lead to some impressive kills this fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='582308' first='Kendall' last='Michels'], S Laingsburg/Legacy

Michels is a setter that could be putting together a breakout fall. She is still getting a feel for all of her sets, but she did a good job to quickly adapt to new hitters and find a sweet spot. She can put nice loft on the ball, giving her outsides a great swing. Now she needs to keep developing her tempo and connection with middles.

[player_tooltip player_id='531680' first='Ava' last='Youhanna'], S Stoney Creek/Michigan Elite

Youhanna was another setter that did a good job of making quick adjustments. She communicated well with her hitters, taking advice and giving it back, to find the best locations for each player. Youhanna had a lot of strong moments, but also did a good job of taking ownership when she made a mistake and learning from it.

[player_tooltip player_id='763001' first='Kheringtyn' last='Bidelspacher'], OH Saint Clair/Crank It

Bidelspacher was a good all-around athlete that had standout moments with her offense, defense and serving. Her serve was one of the stronger ones in the entire Showcase, while her athleticism led to potent kills and challenging digs. There's a good foundation to build on for this prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='456251' first='Alexa' last='Turner'], S/RS SMCC/Athlete HQ

Turner had an impressive Showcase. She took the floor with a lot of confidence and was a clear leader for others. Whether it be as a setter, or a hitter, Turner directed traffic and communicated effectively. She had positive encouragement and tips for her hitters and made sure to stay persistent in her defensive assignments.

[player_tooltip player_id='523844' first='Irelynn' last='Sedore'], DS/L Pennfield/FaR Out

Sedore was consistent at keeping her arms in good position when taking on attacks or serves. If her body had to adjust, she was able to maintain good form to make a clean play. She stayed locked in on each rep and each point, being ready to make a play at any moment.

[player_tooltip player_id='770998' first='Hannah' last='Maisner'], DS/L West Bloomfield/Team Detroit

Maisner had clean delivery on a number of her digs and in serve receive. She worked hard to get to her spots and hustled for every ball that came her way. She can still makes some strides in anticipation, but the effort is there, which is a big key for any defensive prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='784227' first='Mary' last='LoBue'], RS Bishop Foley/Unified

LoBue was calm, cool, and collected during the Showcase. She didn't seem to get too high, or too low at any point. While she didn't have many low's, if she did had a slip up, she bounced back quickly. LoBue had good ball control at the net, varying her locations well while doing a nice job of avoiding blockers.

[player_tooltip player_id='787011' first='Isabella' last='Hernalsteen'], MB TC Central/Northshore

This Northern Michigan prospect had impressive footwork and quickness at the middle position. Her slide attacks were among the cleanest of the Showcase and she also produced steady velocity on her swings. She's listed at 5'10”, but Hernalsteen plays longer with a good wing span that can be effective for blocking.

[player_tooltip player_id='769601' first='Mara' last='Williams'], DS/OH Roscommon/Mid Michigan Aces

Williams was a prospect that was always coming up with a nice play. You'd keep seeing her in the mix when something good was happening. She was aggressive and relentless with her defensive coverage, but then was a very effective hitter as well. She gets solid pop on her swings and proved she can be a factor in all areas.
