Tournament of the Week: Week 1

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Each week we are going to take a look at a big time tournament with a ton of top tier players and programs. Let's take a look at week 1. Season is officially here and all games going forward begin to pave each team's destiny. What a loaded week 1 tournament we got on our hands!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline">NORMAN INVITATIONAL</span></strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Pool A: Mount St. Mary, Community Christian, Broken Arrow, and Norman North.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We got the 5A state champ, 4A state runner up, and 6A Quartefinalist all in the same pool. This pool has some really talente setters to keep an eye on such as [player_tooltip player_id='610402' first='Aliyah' last='Owens'], [player_tooltip player_id='533456' first='Avery' last='Hamilton'], [player_tooltip player_id='314473' first='Pierson' last='Smith'] and [player_tooltip player_id='750189' first='Emma' last='Fudickar']. All command a really good offense for thier team and all play high level club ball. These teams also possess really solid options at the middle blocker position. UCA college commit, [player_tooltip player_id='284928' first='Annie' last='Hopkins'] transferred to Community Christian and will be a major assesst to thier offensive prowess. [player_tooltip player_id='822225' first='Anna' last='Spurlock'] and [player_tooltip player_id='394610' first='Emmerson' last='Meador'] are key middles that will get a big time kill to give their team a spark. Pin play is one of the most important aspects to any team. Players like Kelsey Foster and [player_tooltip player_id='752603' first='Sophia' last='Zhao'] will be solid options for Norman North. It would be criminal if we didnt inlcude MSM standout, [player_tooltip player_id='839839' first='Ella' last='Hale']. She is a workhorse in all 6 rotations for The Mount. I am also curious on how CCS will utilize the talented [player_tooltip player_id='274669' first='Presley' last='Schrader'] now that she is back from her injury and looking better than ever.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Pool B: Edmond North, Deer Creek, Edmond Santa Fe, and Norman.</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We got THREE 6A qualifers, one of which was the state runner up. Norman is my sleeper pick this season in class 6A. You can blindly shake a stick and hit atleast 4 college level hitters in this pool. [player_tooltip player_id='806881' first='Nayeli' last='Dragoo-Crawford'], [player_tooltip player_id='822748' first='Blair' last='Smith'], [player_tooltip player_id='752599' first='Caryl' last='Womack'], [player_tooltip player_id='752601' first='Reese' last='Noller'], [player_tooltip player_id='752830' first='Kate' last='Starr'], Olivia Bartle, [player_tooltip player_id='666282' first='Kamryn' last='Jackson'], Landry key, [player_tooltip player_id='297088' first='Valyn' last='Donahoo'], [player_tooltip player_id='821438' first='Izabella' last='Holasek'], [player_tooltip player_id='828535' first='Kelsi' last='Wilson'], Vann Kelley, [player_tooltip player_id='748675' first='Olivia' last='Carter'], and [player_tooltip player_id='603787' first='Caroline' last='Soto']. I could keep going but you get the point. This pool will be really fun to watch as these girls go toe to toe each and every match. Cant leave out the standout setters and passers that dole out dimes. [player_tooltip player_id='750955' first='Ella' last='Kate Starke'], [player_tooltip player_id='778118' first='Ava' last='Crawford'], Addison Mosier, [player_tooltip player_id='297110' first='Zoe' last='Young'], [player_tooltip player_id='511388' first='Georgia' last='Caddell'], and multiple others. It will be an exciting tournament all the way around.
