Last week, our first real 2028 Player Rankings were released with 51 players making the cut. Now it is time to look at the talented kids at each position. Let's get started with outside hitters.

Top 2028 Outside Hitters

1. [player_tooltip player_id='569772' first='Lauren' last='Sheldon'], Stoney Creek/Legacy: Sheldon is a 6-footer with a lot of power, but has a great court IQ. Sheldon mixes in a lot of different shot speeds and angles, but when she unloads, she is very difficult to stop.

2. [player_tooltip player_id='569767' first='Quinn' last='Nelson'], Marian/Legacy: Nelson is breaking out this fall after having to sit out her freshman season. Nelson shows a lot of court intensity and can bring a lot of velocity on her attacks. She's got a very high ceiling.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='881556' first='Stella' last='Polavin'], FH Northern/MVA: The Huskies have a great young hitter in their mix again. Polavin stands 6'2” and she can get up the ladder to attack the ball where blockers can't defend it. She also can turn quickly on it and create unstoppable attack angles.

4. [player_tooltip player_id='834311' first='Kinsley' last='Whitfield'], Byron Center/FaR Out: Whitfield can play anywhere on the court, but it is her defensive play that is shining right now. She's taken on the libero role for Byron Center and getting great teaching from her teammates. But, Whitfield looks very comfortable and in control during pressure situations.

5. [player_tooltip player_id='584598' first='Allison' last='Stakoe'], Bloomfield Hills/Legacy: Stakoe brings a lot of firepower to the net and she can put down a shot with a lot of authority. Stakoe has some of the hardest-hit attacks in the class and she won't be intimidated by any blocker.

6. [player_tooltip player_id='752615' first='Eliana' last='Hulst'], West Ottawa/MVA: A 6'2” hitter with nearly an 8-foot reach, Hulst has a lot of promise for where she can go. She moves really well and has quick reaction time to transition from offense to defense. Her agility and footwork, combined with that length, makes her a big-time prospect.

7. [player_tooltip player_id='839870' first='Harper' last='Schaedig'], Lowell/FaR Out: This sophomore is taking on a lead offensive role for a strong Lowell team and she is taking advantage of it. Schaedig is seeing the court really well and putting away impressive shots against top competition. She's going to be a bright star for Lowell for years to come.

8. [player_tooltip player_id='808192' first='Reese' last='Williams'], Roscommon/Mid-Michigan Aces: Roscommon has a lot of weapons, and Williams is definitely one of them. She impressed at our Stock-Up Showcase last month and is stepping up early this season with great offensive and defensive instincts.

9. [player_tooltip player_id='587016' first='Lillian' last='Bowman'], Plymouth Christian/Michigan Elite: Another talented outside in the Plymouth Christian program, Bowman has 6-foot length and a smooth form on her delivery. She's going to have no problem putting the ball away.

10. [player_tooltip player_id='569773' first='Skylar' last='Ignash'], Cass City/Michigan Elite: Another 6-footer in this impressive list, Ignash has seen her sister succeed at Cass City and she looks like she can do the same. She's tapping more into her instincts and seeing the court better each week.
