The Bulldogs still were working out the kinks when I scouted them at the Iowa City High tournament on Saturday. The senior middle showed that again during a recent scouting opportunity in the Iowa City High tournament. Nagle was competing intensely against a favored Centennial outfit and played a big part in the Bulldogs pushing the favorite to the maximum three sets. She makes up for the lack of having the prototypical height in the center of the net with explosiveness, jumping ability, long arms and excellent timing. Nagle sees the court well and keenly anticipates the opponent's plan. I saw her again at this season's Little Hawk event and continued to be impressed by the versatile skill set and continued growth as a player. She's bringing more physicality to her game as she matures. It shows up in how she attacks from both pins with increasing power. An explosive athlete, Harn utilizes her quickness to stand out in the back row and explosiveness in defending the net, as well. I saw her again at that event early this season and definitely noticed growth in her game. There's no replacing reps when developing as a player, and you can see the work she's put into improving. With natural gifts of quickness and sharp reflexes as a foundation, Ramstack continues to get better at analyzing the opponent to help put her in position to make plays, in serve-receive and defending the attack. Each time I've seen her since, including at the early August Prep Dig Sizzle, she's raised her game. That certainly was the case again during the Iowa City High tournament in early September. Miller can do it all, as evidenced by her ranking second among Bulldogs in kills (77) and digs (72) through the first 14 matches of the campaign. She jumps well and generates a lot of power when swinging her long right arm from the pin. The latest scouting opportunity happened at the Iowa City High tournament early in the 2025 season, which began with seeing her at the Prep Dig Sizzle in early August. The reoccurring takeaway is that Smith is consistent with her steady play. She doesn't make a lot of errors, and attackers can count on her to help them make plays. Smith moves well around the court, seeing the floor and getting into the best position to set up a teammate. After not playing in a first-set loss against Centennial, she subbed in for Set 2 and looked comfortable. While not the tallest attacker at the opposite pin, Wilson generates power thanks to explosion off the floor and a smooth operation through the swing. She jumps well, which should help her defend on the right side, an important aspect of the position. Wilson's skill set also would work on the outside.
