Janulewicz might be the most effectively versatile volleyball player in the state right now. Her ability to wear the jersey or hit at the pin is not something seen regularly. The Waukee Northwest junior will head to Drake as a back-row defender after doing everything for the Wolves during their state-championship run last fall. Janulewicz's 223 kills (.337) ranked third on the team and her 273 digs were second. She added 42 assists and 34.0 blocks. Her state-tournament performance was impactful. Janulewicz was back at libero during the 2026 Adidas Windy City National Qualifer Easter weekend in Chicago. The ease with which she returns to the position is impressive. It's fluid movement, lateral quickness, sharp reflexes and technical soundness leading to consistently high-level play. Janulewicz has a high volleyball IQ and uses opponent tendencies to her advantage. She shares that information with teammates and communicates well, overall.

Miller made a name for herself in Iowa volleyball circles years ago. The Dayton commitment has worked hard to not rest on her laurels and continue to improve. It's led to her Liberty and Rockets teams winning a lot of matches. For the Lightning, she's piled up 1,633 digs in her three seasons, the last two of which opponents went well out of their way in avoiding her. Her 337 assists speak to a skill in setting up the pin off of the two ball. Miller finds success with quickness laterally and with her reflexes. And she's smart. Miller rarely is out of position, flows well with the action and reads the attack very well. She picks up information throughout matches and uses it to her advantage. Miller is a clear leader on the court and makes players around her better. She's competitive and plays with a high motor. Miller was all of those things at the 2026 Adidas Windy City National Qualifier Easter weekend in Chicago. She'll be even better for Liberty in the fall, and it will be fun watching her compete with the Flyers after that.

Bollier has enjoyed a positive trajectory since competing as a Regina freshman. The Samford pledge has steadily improved through each phase of school ball and on the club circuit. She's helped the Regals reach the state tournament the last two years and held it down in the back row for United squads that have won back-to-back regional championships. Like with most defensive specialists, Bollier has improved her consistency through high-end reps, especially in club, and through tough training. She's continued to look more comfortable over time and grown as a leader. The junior moves smoothly around the court along with the action and gets herself in proper position to make plays. Bollier brings leadership and energy to the court. She helps keep her teams connected and everybody rowing in the same direction.

Ramstack has been a part of a lot of victories playing at Bettendorf and for Six Pack the last few years. That's not an accident. Her performance as been integral in the success. Lateral quickness and smoothly flowing around the court with each play helps makes sure she's positioned to deliver. Fast reflexes lead to her contending with heavy attacks and in staying sound in serve-receive. Ramstack does well in finding the area of the floor that needs attention away from the block and covers well off of the block. Her consistency has improved during the last few years, which she showed during the 2026 Adidas Windy City National Qualifier over Easter weekend in Chicago. Ramstack shared information well with her Six Pack teammates, and her passes started a lot of successful attacks.

United's 17-1 Premier team has built off of its success in 16U a year ago. Nixt was a key part of both teams, holding it down in the back row. The junior stood out again when I watched her play for West Liberty during the Westside Invite late last regular season in Cedar Rapids. Nixt was doing her thing again during the 2026 Adidas Windy City National Qualifier Easter weekend in Chicago, too. She flows well with action in the match, analyzing the opposing offense each point and sliding into the spots where needed. It keeps her teams consistently in system. Nixt reads the ball well in serve-receive, which aids in preventing opponents from enjoying long runs. She communicates well with teammates and makes sure everybody is on the same page.
