Small School Big Arms

Small schools often hold the hidden gems in the volleyball world. These attackers may not play In big high school arenas, but their strong arm swings carry the same thunder. Big arm swings can turn a quiet gym into a loud arena. These are the players that bring that energy at some of the small schools in Arkansas. Bossert runs a ton of different plays to keep the opposing defense guessing. She hits a great sharp cross shot. She does a really good job at swinging around the block and hitting in between the seams of the back row. She has one of the strongest arms in Arkansas and continuing to improve.     Harbin has a strong arm swing and does a really great job at finding the deep corner. She does a good job at swinging over the block and swinging through the gap of the block when the middle blocker doesn't get the block closed. She has a pretty good sharp cross shot and is pretty crafty with her shots. She does a great job at knowing when to swing and when to take some off and place the ball in the middle of the court.     Rehkopf is one of the top outside attackers in Arkansas. Her vertical and high contact point makes it very difficult to block and even more difficult for the back row to dig. She does a great job at swinging through the seams in the back row and also does a really good job swinging line. She is also a pretty good blocker.     Morris is a very smart middle and does a great job at closing the block with the pins. She is very quick and great at taking shots. She has a fast arm swing and high contact point, making her a very strong attacker. She does a great job at running different plays out of the middle to throw off the opposing team.     Myers runs a 6-2 and swings out of the front row. Though she is not the tallest front row player, she has a high vertical and does a great job at tooling the block. She also does a pretty good job at recycling the ball into the block if the set isn't completely there. Being a lefty, blockers often times have a hard time blocking left handed attackers, especially for the rotation in serve receive where she swings on the outside pin.
