With each week of the 2025 season finishing up, new names keep stepping up around the state.

Here's a look at another 10 players that are making a splash in the 2025 season.

Addie Carden, So. S Marshall

We've talked a lot about the freshman phenom outside Marshall has, but someone is setting her the ball. That is Carden, a sophomore setter with a lot of promise. She's up to 545 assists on the year, putting her near the top of the state in 2025. That includes a recent 30-assist effort in a sweep of Parma Western.

[player_tooltip player_id='839890' first='Skyye' last='Frailey'], Sr. OH Troy Athens

Frailey is having a really impressive season leading the attack at Athens. The Wayne State commit has put up double-digit kills in six straight matches. That includes 18 kills against Plymouth and 17 against North Farmington.

[player_tooltip player_id='839917' first='Sarah' last='Giroux'], Jr. OH Flat Rock

The Rams got a big win over SMCC last week, their first over the Kestrels in program history. Giroux led the effort in the key win, posting 24 kills and 15 digs in the victory. Giroux showed endless effort offensively and defensively to lead her team to the win.

[player_tooltip player_id='787391' first='Karsyn' last='Ignash'], Fr. MH Cass City

One freshman making an impact this fall is a familiar name from Cass City. Ignash has been a block machine thus far with 53 on the season, averaging over a block per set. Ignash also has 94 kills and 23 aces. She's proving to be a difference-maker with a high ceiling.

[player_tooltip player_id='794057' first='Gentry' last='Knop'], Sr. DS/L Montague

It's been a tough season for Montague thus far, but Knop has been nearly unstoppable from the service line. She's posted 68 aces through 55 sets of play to be among the state leaders in the category. She had eight aces in a sweep of Orchard View last week. Knop has also been busy as a defender with 283 digs.

[player_tooltip player_id='261199' first='Morgin' last='Parsley'], Sr. S/RS WL Northern

Despite being a combo player, Parsley set the new school record for kills at Walled Lake Northern last week. Parsley put down 11 kills to go with 12 assists in a win over Lakeland to hit the record mark. Parsley has been able to impact the game in all phases for the Knights for many years.

Lily Pharion, Jr. OH Adrian Madison

Pharion had a solid sophomore season and has come back even stronger as a junior. She's approaching 250 kills on the season while hitting nearly .300 for Madison. Pharion has also added 125 digs. Pharion is on a run of 11 straight matches with double-digit kills.

[player_tooltip player_id='801458' first='Claire' last='Ponzio'], Sr. DS/L Utica

Ponzio has been doing everything she can to keep Utica in the mix for a conference title this fall. She's been a machine in the back row with 354 digs on the season. She had a string of three games with 30+ digs over a six-match span. That included 32 in a five-set win over Fraser and 30 in a five-set win over Utica Ford.

[player_tooltip player_id='442995' first='Marlie' last='Smith'], Jr. S Clarkston

Smith continues to make Clarkston a top contender in Division 1. She led the Wolves to key victories over Detroit Country Day and Lake Orion last week. In the OAA Red rivalry game, Smith put up 42 assists and six kills to lead Clarkston to the victory.

Lillian VanMeter, Sr. DS/L Grant

The 2025 season has been a strong one for the Tigers thus far and their senior libero has been a big reason why. She's got 275 digs on the season to be pushing near the top of the state for a 20-win program. She really stepped up last week with a 31-dig performance in a four-set win over Tri-County Area.

**Also special mention to [player_tooltip player_id='587564' first='Lexi' last='Coleman'] (Fr. OH South Lyon East), [player_tooltip player_id='569766' first='McKenzie' last='Andrews'] (So. MH Mercy), and [player_tooltip player_id='709559' first='Kaelyn' last='Easton'] (Fr. S Mercy) for being name to the first-ever U17 Team USA Girls National Team. They will be three of 17 competing for 12 roster spots to play in Costa Rica from Nov. 4-9.**
