There is simply nowhere else you wanted to be. Beast of the East is the premier event for some of Michigan's best volleyball.

Once again, this year's edition of the tournament did not disappoint whatsoever. We had the heavyweight brawls against some of the state's best, stars emerged on the big stage and history was made. In nearly it's 15 year run, this year's Beast of the East saw its first ever west side champion. Many from the west have come close, but never quite finished.

Not to be denied a second year in row, the Rockford Rams took home the title in dominating fashion. The Rams lead the charge of a VERY west side heavy tournament that saw SEVEN of the NINE west side programs on tap make the gold bracket. Of those seven, the Final Four consisted of THREE Grand Rapid Area teams including Forest Hills Northern and Hudsonville.

We took a look at Beast of the East's All-Tournament team. However, that simply does not scratch the surface of the kind of volleyball that was being played here. We have to do a deep dive on some of the talent you didn't hear about yet. Here's a look at the Beasts from the Beast of the East, Part 4.

[player_tooltip player_id='442982' first='Grace' last='Goodyke'] - Grand Rapids Christian

Grand Rapids Christian continues to look like one of the top teams in the state. One big reason for this is in their six rotation outside hitter, [player_tooltip player_id='442982' first='Grace' last='Goodyke']. Goodyke has been a long time star for this team, leading the Eagles in kills in both of the last two seasons. She continues to look as dominant as ever. Her offense is top notch and her back court play is very well developed from what we've seen in years past.

[player_tooltip player_id='808192' first='Reese' last='Williams'] - Roscommon

There was a lot of curiosities as to what Roscommon could do at this tournament. [player_tooltip player_id='808192' first='Reese' last='Williams'] was a catalyst in making some serious statements. On the left pin and playing six rotations, Williams fit right in amongst some of the best outside hitters in the state. Her ease to finding open space and looking for hands on the block was impressive and she held up very well behind the 3 meter line.

Zoey Kauffman - Roscommon

I continue to become a bigger and bigger Zoey Kauffman fan the more I see her in action. Much like Williams, Kauffman held up significantly well against some of the toughest teams this state has to offer. Her ability to run such a fast tempo offense even in times of long, transition play was commendable.

[player_tooltip player_id='226880' first='Chloe' last='Burns'] - Dexter

Not only has Dexter been having a huge fall season, but they had a huge outing this weekend. One of the key things that I see from this team that makes them so successful is the work at the setting position. [player_tooltip player_id='226880' first='Chloe' last='Burns'] has really grown and become a top notch setter throughout her years. Burns play is much larger than what her size may indicate. She was timely with her offensive choices and was a nice presence at the net as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='727732' first='Larkin' last='Pham'] - Dexter

One of main go-to options on this team is [player_tooltip player_id='727732' first='Larkin' last='Pham'], another senior player having a breakout season. Pham has truly come out of the woodworks this season and in many ways have put many teams on high alert. After seeing her play throughout this tough tournament, it goes without saying that Pham can play some ball. She's a tad on the undersized side, but she sees the opposing defense well and chops up some nice swings.

Annemarie Myint - Dexter

Make that three outstanding seniors having huge seasons for Dexter. It makes for a complete trifecta with this one. We have setter, hitter and now libero. Annemarie Myint looked very strong throughout Dexter's run on Saturday. You can tell that when she steps onto the court, she means business. Myint is one of the more assertive liberos you could find on the day, unafraid to step into make the play and better the ball. Myint's job is an important one but for sure does not go unnoticed.

[player_tooltip player_id='569774' first='London' last='Gibson'] - Marian

[player_tooltip player_id='569774' first='London' last='Gibson']'s play in the middle has come such a long way. And her play throughout the weekend in Livonia shows that Gibson is on her way to becoming one of the top players in the state. Beast of the East saw this player showcase some of her physicality. Whether it was in her blocking prowess or in her much improved connection with [player_tooltip player_id='226885' first='Allie' last='Davison']. Gibson can be an X factor for Marian and played a big role in their run to the championship.

[player_tooltip player_id='226911' first='Riley' last='Pilat'] - Plymouth Christian

With quite a few missing pieces this weekend, it was the perfect opportunity for this player to really show off what she's made of. [player_tooltip player_id='226911' first='Riley' last='Pilat'] has really come into her own this fall and her play at Michigan Elite was very evident of that. From her first contact to her offense, Pilat is much much improved and become very prominent on the court.

[player_tooltip player_id='442971' first='Brenna' last='Mirovsky'] - Oxford

Get you a player that can truly do it all, because that is exactly what [player_tooltip player_id='442971' first='Brenna' last='Mirovsky'] does for Oxford. We've seen her do it all from setting to libero, to now playing six rotations as an outside hitter. All of these different roles have definitely shined through her play as an attcker. Mirovsky sees the court so well and doesn't have to rely on smart shots for the point, because she is also equipped with one heavy arm as well.
