Boys Volleyball: Don’t PASS the Gym Without Seeing These Liberos

These Liberos are the leaders of DEFENSE! They make everything happen when having to be the best PASSer on the court physically and mentally! His defensive and serve receive skills, read, leadership and IQ is amazing! He is a very competitive and high achiever! <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">As a Libero being vocal is very important! When reading where the ball is coming from, what type of ball came from the hitter or server, and telling the hitters how many blocks are up and sometimes telling them where to hit! Jaxton has an aggressive mindset when it comes to the court! That type of mentality makes him a dangerous libero! He will go after any ball anywhere it goes! He is there if there is an open net, he is there ready to cover his hitters to recover a ball and he is there to chase down any ball!<br><br>Jaxton's skills are very well taught and polished! How he is always low and ready to pass the ball is always with the same technique! He is making sure he has a strong platform and angles his platform to his setter. His technique is very disciplined and that's how he is successful on making sure the pass is always settable and playable! <br><br>Jaxton shows that he is always and fully engaged in the game and aware of what the opposing team is doing. Not only is he aware but he is ready to play the ball! He shows he is the leader of defense for his team! His team truly trust him to get the ball up no matter what!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Here are some stats and achievements he has so far:<br>-Sac Joaquin D1 Section Championship<br>-Defensive player of the year for OMNI VBC.<br>-Top 27 finish at nationals in the AAU Open Division<br>-Averages 4.7 digs per set <br>-2.3 average reception rating.<br><br>Academically Jaxton is very focused and determined to keep his high GPA! When I see him on the court he keeps such great calm composure in defense and serve receive. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pasha has a very calm composure when he is playing. I see that he is already preparing himself mentally and physical for any type f ball that comes across the net. Having that calmness on the court is unique. It might come off as "too easy" mentally but it really is an aggressive mentality. That perfect balance is great for a libero! Not only does it show mentally but it translate to his skills. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>His defense is very disciplined! He always goes to the right spot on the court to make sure he visually sees the hitter. When he has the view of the hitter he is able to read and make the moves to dig the ball. But he is always ready to be adaptive to any changes from the hitters. When he is in serve receive his focus on the server is key. He watches the type of serve and positions his body to be able to make the pass. Pasha is very determined to get the first pass so his hitters can focus on making their transition to hit. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pasha full engagement on the court makes his team feel the comfort and know that he will make a playable pass! Pasha also has high energy on the court that radiates to his teammates, coaches and spectators! That energy shows that he is doing everything he can to make his team successful!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For his high school team he has been a part of going to CIF Championships! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While playing competitive volleyball he is still able to maintain a high GPA. He covers a huge amount of court defensively! Griffin is always in motion ready to defend. His reach and agility to get to a ball is spectacular. His serve receive and out of system is precise!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Watching Griffin being a 6'4 libero is fun to watch! When seeing a ball you think isn't reachable you will see Griffin's reach and make a play! You are in awe because you think it's a point for the opposing team! Not only is he able to reach for balls that are a bit far but his agility and quick adjustments in his movements are insane! His defensive movement of tracking the ball is unbelievable. His reaction time to the ball and using the right technique is immaculate! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Griffin's serve receive is another great thing to see! His platform and movement get him to get his setter a high settable ball every time! His out of system sets to his pins are precise! He is making sure that ball is close to a perfect set or is a perfect set, so his hitters can execute! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Having all those great skills and mentality on the court is not only because of his determination of getting better, but because he builds an amazing bond with his teammates on and off the court. That bond he makes gives him the confidence in his skills he has been learning from his coaches. Those bonds are very important because it build trust within the team! He is vocal and shows leadership in the back row. He is very vocal when he is on the court and telling his teammates where the set is going and telling his hitters how many blockers are up or telling them where to place the ball. His communication is direct and purposeful and that helps his team succeed and execute their game plan! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Benji is a very reliable libero on the court! His teammates know that he will be touching and getting every ball up! Benji will chase down a ball, covers his hitters all the time and disciplined on defense! He has high enthusiasm, aggressive mentality, verbal, keeps the teams moral at a steady, and is very detailed in technique and disciplined. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jake stated "What I love most about playing libero is being the steady presence that keeps our team grounded. I take pride in the small details — serve receive, reading hitters, and keeping the ball alive no matter what. I try to bring consistency, communication, and energy every time I step on the court."</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When watching Jake on the court he is keeping to his word! You can see starting from warmups that he is preparing himself and his team for the game! You can tell that Jake is ready for any opposing team! <br><br>Jake has incredible technique and readability on the court! He is watching every movement of every player on the other side and where the ball is going! His technique itself is very developed. He has a strong platform and great angle! His readiness on the court to make moves to the ball is amazing!<br><br>Jake is a very coachable player. I have seen his response to his coaches during a game and he makes the quick adjustments. He also is very encouraging to his teammates to make sure they remember their goal at that moment and as a team!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jake is a libero you want to watch this season!
